Al Contarino, You're a Season 4 Everyday Edison!

Edison Nation CEO Louis Foreman gives Al Contarino the news that he's been selected as a featured inventor on Season 4 of Everyday Edisons.

Al's Story

Al Contarino has been creating new things for as long as he can remember. As a child, Al and his dad were in the basement taking motors apart, or building something together in their garage. As he got older, Al grew to love the industrial arts and obtained a degree in Industrial Technology.

Though he spent most of his professional career helping to run his family's electronics business, Al never lost his interest in inventing. He came up with an idea for a unique cooking invention, filed for a patent, and spent a considerable amount of money on a prototype that was good, but didn't meet the design requirements for manufacturing. After gaining some positive feedback, Al filed for a second patent and worked on two additional prototypes. Having spent a lot of time and money, but still lacking a good plan to bring the idea to market, Al decided to take his prototype to an Everyday Edisons casting call.
