how do inventors email their documents?

I dont think I have ever successfully emailed my invention documents to anyone, I always posted.
partly reason why pay for web packages that I rarely use.
And if I use a free trail or some obscure free package can they be opened and read.
Any quick solutions?
grateful for any replies

Cowboy,
Glad to hear that you were able to find an Adobe download and you got your files done. Good Luck with your products.

Danny,
How old is your computer? Most of them now come with some form of software that often has an ADOBE product with it, you would’ve just had to download it. Check thru your PC’s program CD’s that came with it. It would be a program that would have any type of photo or graphic capabilities. Even if it’s an older ADOBE product, once you download it, if there is a newer upgrade, your PC/internet should prompt you to update… do it! Let me know what you find.

thanks for the reply
I should have pointed my problem is with scanning in documents, for example those I receive by regular post from say the patent office, especially where the document has format squares etc and where I need (I think) an o.c.r. to convert, something like adobe reader I think. and then email it on.
I have never bought any of those packages but I don’t know if it is really necessary for my small usage?
any other tips?
Danny

Cowboy… You do not need web pages. If you have an e-mail address (you can have more than one) then you can ‘attach’ and ‘send’ your documents.

I am assuming that you already have your documents saved in a file on your computer; if not, then you must do that first, you can pick up a ‘scanner’ for under $100. Once you have scanned each page into a file on your PC, (set up a special folder/file in your ‘documents’, label it with the name of your product or something that is easy for you to remember.

Open your e-mail acct.
enter the address that you are sending your docs to,
enter a reference in the ‘subject’ line,
Write what ever you need into the body of the e-mail,
look for the “ATTACHMENTS” button & click it.
a ‘browse’ line will appear… click it.
go to your Documents
Find your product folder/file… click it.
a link will attach your documents to the ‘browse’ box, WAIT for it to “UPLOAD
Send your e-mail!
