I submitted to the live product search and want to submit to the Innovation fund search but I can’t figure out how do I do this? Is there a difference? I see a difference in the submission cost. So how does one submit to the Innovation fund search? Do I need to have a patent first?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

The Innovation Fund isn’t an option at the moment. Next round will be launching soon. If you think you might have one that would fit, hold off and submit to the fund 1st. No opt-ins are allowed.
If you have already submitted to Skymall, but think the fund may be a better bet, you will need to re-write the submission and pay as if it were new once they start that search again. Good luck to you!!

I am in the same situation as Thom, I have submitted my invention to skymall but am concerned that they may not be the best fit. If they don’t accept my idea will it be tossed out or will EN show it to other companies if they feel it’s worth there time? If I also submit my invention to the innovation fund is that allowed?

Just to add to Margarets always astute knowledge. You don’t need a patent.

Thanks for the information. I submitted to the Sky Mall and didn’t know if Innovation Fund was a option. My product is a kitchen thing and I don’t know if Sky Mall is the best option.

Hi Thom,
Unfortunately, you have to submit your idea to the Innovation Fund first and then opt in to other searches. Opt-ins aren’t allowed for the Innovation Fund. For that search, they are looking for unique ideas that wouldn’t be a fit for the other Live Product Searches. You could pay again to enter it in to the Fund, but chances are that if you can opt it in to another search, it is not what they are looking for.
