Lisa,
that is so funny. Before I submitted, I googled my name idea and it turns out to be a laudromat…I submitted it any way.

I’ve been thinking on this for two days. I’ve got a list of terrible names that sound more like a carwash than a shower accessory. Oh well.

I’m guessing it’s some sort of shower luffa or sponge with soap in the handle or something. I just don’t get why it would be for women only.

Sometimes it helps to overanalyze the product description line by line:
- We are naming a new shower accessory that will make the suds and bubbles experience much easier for women of all ages.
Unless this a shower head version of the Aquadelic, there is no suds and bubbles experience when taking a shower. “Women of all ages” also throws me off. That usually means good for old women who can’t soap themselves but do they really want to be sprayed by a shower of soapy water? No clues here.
-Without revealing all of the details, this item will make showering easier and quicker.
So what things would make showering quicker? Not wasting time turning on the taps, not waiting for the water to heat up, a car wash type automatic spray, brush, rinse, air-dry system?
-This product is designed to make a task easier to handle
So what does one “handle” in the shower; soap, shampoo, shower massage, toothbrush, lotion, shaver, floss, powder, deodorant, what about for you girls?

Kevin, your suggestion feels just like a real name search, wherein we have to imagine what the product is;
The “Turbo 2000 Squirrel Cage” It all starts out as a little fun and exercise, but then the little guy just can’t keep up…do not try this at home! haha! To all you squirrel lovers…J.K!
Toni, I can’t wait to see it…and it’s name! How cool is that!

@Kev. Betsy was telling me that you thought it might be Team Talva’s product and I could tell you it is not.
The name is perfect and I came up with it. Wait till you see what it is. It’s pretty snappy and our group agreed.
Sorry I didn’t catch your post sooner, I was busy coming up with more ideas. :>)

I agree Ralf, it would be a lot of fun to share in a name search.
Perhaps an existing or fictitious product would make a fun exercise on it’s own thread.
Could be a common or less common product…anybody have a subject idea for this?

Yes, first to invent wins. Fees should not be returned, EN’s gotta make a living, it’s up to us.

Those reasons actually make a lot of sense. My only thinking was to save the redundant submission fees. I do still wonder what EN does when they see redundant ones. If they pick the first, but then the person who chose the right one and didn’t get anything should get their fees back maybe or maybe they should split the pot. Does anyone know if they’ve ever explained this?

We used to and it was fun but paranoia took over to the point that the winning names are not even revealed after the contest is over. I guess I can understand that but I’m in the camp of bouncing ideas off others to enhance creativity and saving redundant submission fees. Others believe that if you post your name that people will try to trademark it before EN does. The simple cure to this would be to delay the announcement of the winner until after EN has started the trademark process. No one is going to waste their time and money trademarking names they think will win. The other thing is they don’t want anyone “stealing” their idea and improving upon it and winning. I don’t agree with either of these viewpoints so I’d share my name idea if I had one.
P.S. K9 Glow Guard is dead? What’s it called now, Doggie Radiation Transmuter?

Just curious, but in the name searches, do people ever talk about the names they tried? Just thinking every submission that I have has probably been used already. Does anyone know how they handle that if there is the same one more than once? I’m guessing first in gets it.

Let’s see, who’s won so far?
Kev (1)
Ralf (2)
Colonel (1)
The lady who named the Diaper thing—-Scoots. (That was cute, but can’t remember her name)
Who else?
These are fun, I’ve missed them. Night Michael, Ralf, Lindassoap, Toni and Biskit! (I sound like I should be on the old TV show, The Waltons. Night, John-Boy)

I do know a little. Perhaps that Pup Light thingy didn’t do well, so the powers that be— thought a name change might help. Put it this way….Gyro Bowl started out as Loopa. So,changes do sometimes take place. BUT, Team Talva’s product is just beginning the Infomercial testing phase. SOooooo, I would bet lots of money, there isn’t a name change taking place on that. Any takers? Ha, ha

I got a hankering about that Talva product that they were saying is in testing…maybe a sudden name tweak to put it over the top?
Hmmm…but they have Jane and Colonel on the team…two name search pros. hmmm.

I remember a posting last year about a showerhead lotion dispenser. My guess is that the product may be something like that. Here’s the old posting:
hi, my name is eloise and i am very excited to have come this far with my product. I have a patent on it and a prototype. It is called a moisture infuser which is connected to your showerhead. I think a company like bed bath and beyond would be very interested. i am not sure how to make that happen. would love any feedback and appreciate any help offered.
Thanks, Eloise.
