Product packaging - cheap printing alternatives?

Hi,

I got the quote for retail packaging for my product. It is $0.30 per piece without any printing, and $0.55 with single color printing.

At the very least, I definitely want to have the product name and website name printed on the package. But I would like to keep cost down if possible.

Has the rubber stamp technology improved much? I am not sure how cheap it looks. Can I get any top of the line stamp, that looks exactly like print?

Or I was thinking of getting stickers made, and stick it on each package. I haven’t started my research on how cheap this will work out to be.

What do you guys think? Any one have any other suggestions?

What is the qty. and size of the decal you would like printed.

Decals are cheap if simple artwork is involved with 1-2 colors and no intricate shape.

I suggest that you do more research as more than the name and website need to be on the label / packaging – especially if you are selling retail.

There is information available in the forums – maybe use the search button above and put in PackagingDiva or JoAnn Hines.

If you have a picture of the item and let me know what type of packaging you are interested in I may be able to help you and if not can see if anyone I know can help you. Also quantity of items you would like packaging for as well.

It’s a chipboard package, with a tray and a sleeve (like a matchbox, little bigger).

This is not exactly a ‘retail’ package, the product will be sold on my website, nowhere else.
