Will anyone else be going to the West Pack Show in Anaheim, CA on Feb. 9 thru 11? Since I am always looking for the perfect packaging (or, actually anything better than what I am currently using), I will be going and would love to meet up with anyone from this group.

Julie, I will be attending the Expo as a visitor… not sure which day. I live and work near Anaheim. When are you planning the attend? |

Not sure – have you already picked a date? Do you have your Free Pass already? If not, let me know and I will tell you how to get one. Gee whiz! A G8! It would be an honor to meet up with you…. |

I’ll be there several days. FYI, this is an annual show that actually includes SEVEN shows in one: WESTPAC, PLASTEC, PD MFG, Electronics WEST, Green MFG & ATX (Automation Technology Expo). It’s a HUUUGE show. Your EXPO badge includes admission to ALL shows. By far the best show on the west coast. The PLASTEC show is AMAZING as it includes ALL phases of plastic manufacturing and processing. |

I will probably check it out Wednesday. My office is about 3 miles from the Convention Center so I might pop in on a few ideas. Thanks KJ I will research the other shows to see which might be beneficial. Julie, by the way two G8 – Lucky I guess. |

Here is the link to the floor plan. http://www.devicelink.com/expo/univ/Anaheim10/f... Since I am interested in only WestPack and Pacific Design Manufacturing.., think I can easily ‘do’ the show in one day. KJ, will you be in a booth or do you just want to ‘do’ it all? Let’s meet up somewhere. I have a toll-free cell phone but not sure I can give the number here although it is on my websites. |

Plans are formulating: I signed up for the “Innovation Brief – Innovations in Design Materials” on Tues. the 9th at 2:05 so if anyone can meet up in the a.m. or after 3:00 and before the event closes at 5:00, I’m open. Will also be available Wed. if that works out better but will be driving back to Yuma on Thurs. This is very exciting – meeting up with fellow EN’ers. |

Okay, its getting closer: any other EN member in So. CA going to this? My toll-free cell phone number is 877-ALL-COZY and I will be attending both Tues. and Wed. and I always wear orange to trade shows – a little easier to spot if someone is looking for me. Strange but true…. |

Well, here it is again – the West Pack Show. Last year Eric and I attended although not on the same day although we tried. Even if you don’t have anything which needs packaging, I’ll bet that you would see something which would give you an idea for an invention – its a great show. www.WestPackShow.com, February 8 – 10 (Tues., Wed., Thurs.), Anaheim Convention Center. You need to register and it is free: just register as the president or buyer of ‘your’ company – no one checks for validity. I might go again so if anyone else is going to be there, let’s arrange a time to meet – your choice. |

You just made friends with someone in your area – maybe contact him to see if he can go. Maybe Penster will also attend – and who knows – maybe even Kosmo. Everything will depend on my business but I’m going to try to go again. Last year I saw that clear, acrylic paint can, with metal handle and lid and I think there must be something someone could do with that. |

Hey Julie, That sounds like fun. I’d love to meet up wi U. I will have a litter of puppies so I will have to find a puppy sitter, but Anaheim is only a couple of hours from San diego. I’d love to have a free ticket. Can U make it two tickets? Pls email me caringpro@yahoo.com Thx 4 the great suggestion. What dates are U going? PUppy love from InventingJoy & Furry folk |

Hi InventingJoy – it would be better if you get your own ticket. Since you have a business, all you have to do is use that information and give yourself a title – ‘Buyer’ is always a good one. Go to www.WestPackShow.com and you can register there. I am not sure which day yet – I can stay with the friend I stayed with last year but they don’t allow pets so can’t take Charlie – have to give this a lot of thought. |

Hi Julie, You can stay in my mini motor home wi Charlie if he has all his shots & if ur willing to spray him before he comes in to my place where my puppies are, or keep him out in the motor home which would probably be better bcs my moma dogs* may be nasty. Its warm here. I don’t like to drive so maybe I’ll go up wi U. My motor home is for sale but I doubt it will be sold by then. I have ur # so if that’s a positive 4 U let me know & I’ll call U tonight. My daytime is totally booked up. How late can I call in Pacific time? Puppy love from InventingJoy & the Furry Folk |

Thank you, IJ. I have many friends in S.D. as I used to live there and could stay with some of them; however, I just want to stay closer to Anaheim. Things always work out and there is still a lot of time before the show. But, I appreciate the generous offer. Get your pass so you will have it – whether or not you get to go. Did Xena ever have puppies of her own? My grandparents had Peppy, a male Boston Terrier, and when their cat chose to have kittens in the basement, Peppy carried each one, as a mother would carry, up to his bed in the dining room. He hid them behind some blankets/pillows and they were discovered because of the crying: had no idea what he planned to do with them – other than lick and love. He actually did this a few times so the cat was moved upstairs to the dining room and everyone lived happily ever after…. |

Hi, Yes Xena has had several litters. Mirage did not get involved in Xena’s litters. But Xena is the earth mother of all time to puppies, kitties & especially me. Which is why I love her so much. I founded this breed specifically to alert to the autonomic nervous system of humans. So far for me, she has helped me get out of a wheelchair, deal wi chronic pain, saved my life by waking me in the middle of the night when my blood pressure rose dangerously, alerted to a gall bladder attack 24 hrs before it happened. For others that I know about: alerts before migranes, blood pressure & one lady in Ohio uses the dog instead of a glucometer to control her blood sugar for diabetes. This inventions was one of my greatest successes & my biggest failures. I didn’t patent or trademark & now the puppy mills have picked it up & are breeding all kinds of things under the name. A copy cat breeder just took a cruise on the many puppies she milled from untested breeding stock, on the breed that I founded & popularized. Slap slap accross face & elsewhere. Learned a lesson. But who ever thot my breed was going to be so popular? There are, however, a lot of people who recognize my reputation bcs without advertising, all puppies are sold to first time owners. Even tho they aren’t born yet & I was trying to get out of the breeding business. I was thinking of changing the name & starting all over again. But my son says why bother branding when I don’t want to continue breeding anyway? Its just ego. I guess he’s right. |
