No special “Jones-aid”, gang…just spotted a handful of similar remarks as to “before I die” desires and the rest is history…the story started unraveling faster than my happy fingers could pluck, until I think I got a little of everyone into the “commune”.

I would like to rebuild the bridges I burned in my life, see my kids happy, live in a tropical rainforest completely off the grid(alternatively the smokies or mountains of West Virginia where I am from) and live completely off the land. I would like to win millions so that I can invest wisely and be able to travel when I want, work on inventions when I want, and not have to answer to anyone (except my better half..lol)

…be a part of a Black-eyed Peas flashmob at a Yurt commune full of EN-ers with their kids on Don’s trout farm in West Virginia. He’ll have cars (Bugattis comes to mind oddly), gliders, bikes, – and the tools we need to invent g8s. G8s get to go to Hawaii, the rest of the population can take a motor home tour of ghost towns across America and see other Wonders the country has, when the g8s go to Hawaii. Ideally, as we sat and pondered these bucket list items from Don’s porch swing, in front of his communal castle with oodles of chefs, Biskitheads, and bartenders, making $200 meals at no cost (no caviar – er disposable caviar), we would soon realize that these have become our basic needs and we can selflessly enjoy them here on the “farm”, for another idea is just around the anti-gravity device. And Joe Nekro would wish he had that device around back when he was pitching knuckleballs, because they are REALLY unhittable on the “farm”. But the pitches…oh plenty of them…would be a daily event, but WE wouldn’t be “pitch”-ing knuckleballs…they would be g8s.

I didn’t mean to infer a Viking funeral, although the thread would suggest it. I only meant the river.

I was working along the Deschutes one day when a fisherman shouted out across the river, asking if I knew the best way to get to the other side. After a moments thought I shouted back, but by his distant expression I don’t think he heard me. To this day I cannot understand why he didn’t know that he was on the other side…

Don, That is a great idea – a commune! I might even be happier in a Yurt rather than a cabin: we could have yurts all over your property. I’ll donate pillowcases to use in the yurts.

I’ll be one of the cooks or an assistant baker to DaBiskit or maybe one of the many bartenders….

It’s cool that all of us have something another person wants. Why don’t we form a big commune, like the 70’s. I have a cabin in the mountains of West Virginia with a rushing creek and two trout ponds. I’ve traveled quite a bit and been a millionaire. Now I’m poor and old but have three great kids and two grandkids. I guess about the only thing I want is for my grandkids to become old enough so they can come and fish for trout in West Virginia. My last batch of rainbow trout got up to 26 inches. I raise about 50 to 100 at a time. It’s fun to feed them in the afternoon and watch them jump.

I ditto Frank White for starters. I never went after a high dollar, high paying career. I was a teacher/coach who enjoyed each minute of my career, just paid bills and got kids through college, so yea Frank I too would like to have some extra $ now in the golden years, without any bills.

I am not picky, being debt free doesn’t have to come by having a hit new product, I’ll take donations, or a winning lottery ticket will do! Also before I croak, I want to see my grandkids grow up and have kids of their own. I also want to be offered caviar so I can have the pleasure of throwing it in the trash can! Would like to take my wife and go back in hills of Western NC where our ancestors are from and buy about 200 acres surrounded by hills, valleys and trout streams and a long paved driveway to the big log cabin with modern conveniences.

Michael, we have crosswalks for chickens here in Yuma: its called Snowbirds crossing the street in the middle of the block – and maybe even using a walker. We, who live here, get very frustrated with ‘those folks’ and they will be flocking back in 2 months………

Ok, my wishes before I die, Machu pichu? would be great, and in Roger’s Telaporter, even more special, but for me…

I would Like to see at least one of my ideas come to fruition, at least one that I get some $‘s for. See some of my songs make it to the charts. Visit all of my brothers and sisters, some of which I haven’t seen in over 40 years. I was the 11th. of 12 siblings. And of course meet many of you.
