Just curious, Thought everyone may enjoy posting how many inventions they have, patented and unpatented. Also, how many R8s G8s do you have?

I will start,

I just counted 38 in my notebook.

Sorry about that lead on of 10 working prototypes. I have 10 test kitchens using the same prototype style pan, giving me feed back. I do have a sauce that goes with it with “secret ingredients”, they are testing it also. I am about 90% done with the recipe, thus it needs continual retesting,,,,, Oh soooo good.. :)

I met another vendor at my very first BBQ cook-off/Festival. He had made hot sauce all his life and gave it to fam and friends. When he and his wife retired, he found a bottler that cooked and bottled under FDA and local guide lines. They made the label and installed it for him.

If anyone has ever thought about doing it, it is relatively straight fwd…….

They were doing the same as I, starting small and going to a lot of local shows at first, then the small stores and on.

1 in stores with ppa and final pat filed.
1 ready to file ppa, will file in May 2012 and stock stores who are waiting for it, I have 10 working prototypes in my test kitchens.

13 more, all have complete working prototypes but have various positive and negative market research studies.
I must have a 100% working prototype after an exhaustive marketing study and then put out to my various test sites with a solid positive response before I put it on my “invention list”.

6 Issued Patents (5 assigned to others)

1 PPA
1 EN Submission in effect (Mobile Apps)
6 ‘ideas’ in varying stages of development/prototyping.

And a whole bunch more I wish I had time to work on.

Anant, that is the number of ideas in my idea database (“My Ideas” button on home page). Most of these ideas have been submitted and re-submitted many many times over in the past few years. Only one of them is patent pending. I didn’t count the ones in my notebook. Adding those would bring the number to about 60.

Just in the notebook I have kept track of inventions through the years. I used to think of ideas and they would leave my mind within a day or so, so every now and then will have an invention idea reemerge and will be like, Oh yeah, glad I rethought of that so this time I can write it down, lol.

38 inventions – Matt?, 32 inventions Margo – Wow – Do you mean they are approved somewhere or the other or are patent pending?
Or are you talking about submissions?

Feeling philosophical… what constitutes an invention?

I’ll go with ones that I know how they need to be implemented with some wiggle room for engineering I know needs to be done to realize. I’ll skip fully realized software products done as an employee as well as games I’ve designed or written.

First invention in 1980 then have my first notebook handy it has eight in it along with short stories and business plans, research paper ideas (did that one in college, stopped using it in 89.) Give or take probably average four possibles a year since then mostly clustered on when inventing was heavier in my brain. Then have worked out about five contenders per search I’ve seen here in the last six months. Did another site and was coming up with about three a week for that for a couple months.

So somewhere around 170, with 40% in the last six months and likely 90% I think are middling or need serious engineering work with a rare few that have shown up on the market over the years.

No patents. 1 R8 from six distinct submissions here.
