You need to define WHICH BB&B search you entered: students? pets? and then find the forum which addresses that search.

good luck wherever you are…

I like the positive tagline “justthething”….

Julie,
Thanks for the heads-up. It was the BB&B outdoor living search. From here you are saying I should find the forum for that contest?

Julie,
Thanks again. I checked out the forums, and there has not been many posts {besides you and I} in some time. I guess a green #3 is better than a red X. I’ll wait and see what happens…if anything.

We usually don’t post unless there has been movement on the dashboard.

James, search BB&B outdoor living, you will pull up the posts, or find it in the forum list.

Andrea,
Do you know when the deadline was for this contest? I entered only a few days from the cut-off but I can’t remember when that was.
What is your idea or invention? Best of luck to you.

James it was Nov. 9th…I hear that BB&B students is being presented next week, so maybe we will see some movement on the BB&B Outdoor by then? Not hopeful though, we have not been told of the date and I am still hanging at G4 waiting to see if I am considered for G5, if not, then I have one left!

I invented a pool tray for your lounge chair at the beach or at the pool…fits in a suitcase or folds up to a flat carry tray that holds your MP3, googles, lotion, drink, and anything else you want and you lay on it at the head of the folded down lounge chair. Kind of hard to explain, but it’s a fun seasonal product. Good Luck to you too! What is your idea? Mine is patented so I can talk about it!

Andrea Hey thanks for the cut-off date. I thought is was longer ago than that.
If you get a second, check out my sight (a work in progress) @ http://justthething.us
It will give you an idea of what I have going on. Congrats on your patent…is that your first one? Where can I get a look at your product? How long did it take to be issued from your filing date? Can I ask any more questions on this blog? Just kidding thanks for all your help.

James, this is really very erie…I told my husband who was raking leaves this year into bags where we had to hold the bag and get dirty, that there must be something else out there, right?

SO, my idea was to come up with something like this, however, I had a slightly different idea than this, but how strange that I had actually come up with drawings for something like you have put together…Very, Very weird indeed. BUT, I love it, I hope you go really far on this, it something that is needed!

I do have a site, here it is, check it out!

It went G7 for Yahoo Green, got the old R8 this week. I have it in for the BB&B outdoor living and Christmas tree shoppes. DId you put in for either of those?

My patent is still pending-but it’s in…and paid for, spent about $8,000 all together for everything. It’s worth it but you know there are ongoing costs to keep it up, I am hoping I don’t need to do that…

Andrea, sorry to hear about the R8 but the product got that far – so many don’t. There was a great Christmas Tree store in RI I used to frequent and I can see your product there – fun store.

Andrea, there is a forum for suggesting companies you would like to see in the searches: maybe suggest Toys R Us – great idea….

Andrea… Thanks for checking out “Just the thing” I have kicked this idea around for a long time before getting around to building one. I have heard from so many people that they have found themselves in situations trying to hold a plastic bag open for one reason or another, I had to move foward on this idea. The “rim-in-rim” device will be used in so many different applications.
The patent has been in for a couple of years now and has been assigned to an examiner, so there has been some movement. I have only applyed to this one E.N. search, I’m interested to see if it goes anywhere.
I have some concerns about the amount of controll I will have if it does move foward with E.N. Kind regards,Jim

Hey James, I think if you are going to work with EN its because most of us can’t bring our products to market ourselves for financial reasons, china is a nightmare to work with if you don’t know what you are doing and how to negotiate (if you hire someone to help you that also costs), etc…

I guess if it goes to market and you don’t have to spend more than you patent costs, then its worth it as I don’t see more than 2-5% anyway given to the inventor if someone picks up your idea anyway…I think it’s best to at least try this and if not, you are free to go elsewhere. Good luck, I know your product is so needed, but it’s up to the search sponsors and EN to make the final decision.
