I’m still around, just busy working on new ideas ;-) I did make my ShoeSkirt prototype for the audition, and it practically killed my poor sewing machine. Making a prototype helps me take my idea from a concept to something that actually works….and it usually takes several trys.

Thanks for the replies everyone..I didn’t stop to think most of the

Two years ago when I joined EN I wondered the same thing. But many of the names you listed Rainer are EveryDay Edisons. They were part of that WAY before EN existed. There’s even an EE website. So it’s not like they won and left…most have never really posted on the forums. (except for Phil, Holly and sometimes Michael and Brad and Melinda)

And to answer your question about prototypes. Watch the videos of them on EE. They all tried out with prototypes. The episodes are all on Hulu. EN is so new that Eggies is one of it’s first big wins. I joined EN two years ago, entered Eggies in the fall of ’09…and it has just been launched. Believe me, there are lots of others in line having their products made, tested, etc. These people are ENers and will be just like me….impossible to get rid of! ;-D

Rainer and all, I hope that when I said that if I was in a place that I got a G8 that I may not be posting to the forums either did not come across mean. I did not intend it to be that way and I am sorry. I just was thinking maybe I would be doing things differently at that time, but I really don’t know. I don’t really like being a fallible human, but I am. I say things that I regret too often. Take it easy and good night all.

Betsy has us all spoiled! You know, she even tried to shake all the other past G8ers/Everyday Edisons out of the tree and get them to share their stories with us, too!! She is the bestest Betsy there is!

Here is that thread: http://www.edisonnation.com/forums/other/topics...

It may seem like the others haven’t posted in a very long time, but it really hasn’t been that awful long….those spammer/hackers have totally made a mess of the forum threads here and jumbled them all up with older posts from 3 years back; mixed up with the recent threads—makes searching for individual threads much more difficult now! (and no more bumping them up! Pooey!)

Emery Cat, Gyro Bowl, Monster Pong…Michael, Brad and Melinda, and Matt have responded in those respective threads!

Hope the new batch of Everyday Edisons (Season 4) keep right on inventing and mixing it up with us ENers in the forums, too! :)

i know i have wondered the same thing Rainer… WHERE IS EVERYONE ? i wish more would be like Betsy… but we KNOW there is only ONE of her … Maybe they could take lessons from her? giggle cuz she helps so many people realize that their dream CAN come true…

Maybe some of these folks just bowed out after THE BIG ONE… and that is it for them ???? i don’t know…

but hey all you G8 rs… that are going to be on the next Everyday Edison… DONT ABANDON US … after you make it… we want to HEAR EVERYTHING !!!!!! :))))))))

STAY part of the FAM…. please !!! :))))

Hi Rainer :)

Yes, I would agree most don’t post too much…Betsy really is nice to post on the forums with her Eggies success.

I don’t know, if I could daydream about getting a G8 and what it would be like, I am not sure that I would be posting so much either…it would be so much fun and relaxing to have day to day life figured out better, you know? Also, I think many of those who have had successful products listed on the success page are from Everyday Edisons, so maybe they hadn’t been so much acquainted with the forums.

I read where Michael Diep is busy helping with the Vietnamese version of EN, I think, that he would be really busy now.

I wonder how your life would change? Busier, more relaxed, happier, etc…? I don’t know, but it sure does sound like a happy place to be :)

For me, although, I have had no G8s, I always put in the required filled out form and sometimes jpg pictures, most of the time with pictures along with the form.

Best hopes for you Rainer!

Hi Jane

It seems once they get a product to market they disappear or don’t post much anymore.

I have seen posts on the forum before from Michael Diep, Holly Tucker, and Phil Avery, but they may have been from a while back. Some really good inventions they have all had, the burger stuffer sure does sound like it would be fun to cook burgers on the grill with.
