Does anyone know how many ideas are chosen in one round, on an average. I know that more than one can be chosen, but do we have any statistics on how many were logged and how many got chosen last season (by say As seen on TV)?

Now that’s some disheartening news. Is that specific one off case with BB&B Women or does that happen with others too. I would have expected that if EN selects something, there would be a fair chance of a company picking it up – maybe 30% or so at least. |

There is a difference between being chosen by EN for presentation and being chosen by the company who is searching. I think that EN submitted 38 ideas to BB&B Women of Invention yet only 1 was chosen. |

Thanks, Sherri and everyone else. I tried to search for this, but it appears there are quite a few threads, and I couldn’t find it. |

Welcome to EN, Anant! If you want a more accurate idea of how many are picked up, you can click into the Blog section up at the top. EN announced the past G8ers in the LPS category (where you can also read about the past LPS here) and on that Success Stories Page! Good Luck to you! |

Anant you’ll get used to the humor around here. There are many different ASOTV companies so EN makes 5 or 6 different presentations. Each company can pick as many products as they want. But that’s just the beginning. Then a series of Infomercial tests & focus groups will take place to see if the product will go to market. |

Each product chosen and licensed would have its own agreement. They don’t lump them all in one package. So each product lives and dies on its own merit. Yours could be through the roof and mine could be a medium seller. We would each each royalties based on our agreement and sales figures. |

20 ideas were chosen! – Wow, was that in As seen on TV? |

Julie I hope that’s not the case. Say you and I get chosen and your invention out sells mine by 10 to 1..that wouldn’t be fair. |

I think that I heard that 20 were chosen one time but the people who submitted had to share the money. No? :-) |

What are you trying to get from that info? What does it change if it was 2 or 200? I know they don’t limit the amount they will show a sponsor if it is a marketable idea and fits the target market the sponsor is after. The point is to make your submission as marketable as possible so that you get in front of the search sponsor and then hopefully gets picked to move forward to licensing. The more research you do on your idea to make sure it meets the requirements the better your chances of success. |
