Mark, I didn’t go through EN. Although my first invention that was brought to Spencers was originally entered in EN’s Spencer Gifts Light Search, it was cut at Stage 4. I then pursued things on my own and was able to get it in front of their CEO and head buyer.

If you search the forums for “Its official, I’m a paid inventor” you can read some details about it.

Alright alright alright Jason ! It just goes to show that persistence pays off. While it was viewed by some that you might have gotten the poopy end of the stick with Spencers before, you have shown here that your “intangibles” including experience, contacts, larger portfolio, etc are well worth the wait!

Congrats Jason but I was wondering, did you go through Edison Nation for this? When I got to Spencers page and click submit ideas it simply goes to EN home page. If you did go through EN and have 2 products brought to market, why doesnt it have you listed as a G8 LPS on your picture?

Jason, so happy for you!! Not dumb at all, dumb sells and there are tons of awesome products at Spencers…one of the district managers is our best friend and he tells us the funniest stories on some of the more “adult” products, we howl from the stories! Good luck with it!

Hey all.

I just wanted to give you guys an update on The MugCuff (or CuffMug as Spencers renamed it).

I sent an email to them last week inquiring about sales and if it would ever be available online. I was told that sales were solid and they hoped to reorder in the spring and if they did that, they’d make it available online.

Well…checking out Spencers for inspiration yesterday I was gladly surprised to see that it is now available online.

Check it out, buy one, and support an inventor, lol.

Also, if any of you have a Spencers in your local mall, go there and let me know if its available there. I’d be interested to see which stores, if not all they have it in and how its selling and what the feedback from customers is.

which is probably more than the ones calling it that are doing, more power to ya, I say! Heck, I wouldn’t mind

Hey, nothing wrong with novelty items like that, and since this is the second product through
Spencers, they’re no doubt open to your suggestions now, which is GREAT!!! Wouldn’t we ALL
like to have that type a relationship with a National retailer!!

I wouldn’t consider myself a novelty inventor, but looks like that’s where I’ve gained success so far.
