Season 4 Casting Calls????

I need some deadlines to get me moving faster on a couple of ideas I’m working on. It happens that I work good under pressure. Just finished a patent search on one and looking good.

When and where are the Season 4 Casting Calls going to be? I went to Altanta on January 11th last year. If EE has plans for the same time frame that’s not leaving me too much time. You guys know something your not telling?

Hey mark you sound like me…I’m working on my idea now for the casting call trying to finish it up to show the features of it. I’m bring two prototypes one that is a standing model, and the other prototype works which should give them a better idea of what the invention is and does. I’m just trying to get where you are right now…ha…ha..ha

Hi Mark,
We’re still locking in the casting call cities and dates. They will most likely be a few months later than last year because there’s one particular date in late June that we are pretty sure we want to hit with our last casting call. I don’t want to go into detail just in case it doesn’t line up correctly.

We also have talked about having a little less time between each city visit (the past has been 4-6 weeks) so that the entire timeline can be shortened.

You guys will be the absolute first to know when we post the cities and schedules. We’ll send out an email newsletter, we’ll post it to the forums and we’ll post it to the Everyday Edisons Web site.

There is the Minnesota’s Inventor’s Congress in June. Could it have something to do with that :-)

Mark that was for American Inventor, It was in the low 40’s that morning in Houston that’s where I first meet Holly; she was inline a couple people in front of me. I’d say by 7 am there were 5 to 6 thousand people in line.

What makes this interesting one-year later at the EE casting call in Dallas inline a couple people in front of me there was Holly again.

Thanks mark I’m going to try and make the first casting call, so while they do there thing at EE I can again work on a game plan….better then I did with the invention I took to the casting call in Atlanta…if I get selected. Unlike the last time instead of just sitting and waiting on the show I can put a plan together in case my invention gets rejected…..and that depends on if I make it to final consideration. The cool thing about this invention is that my children gave me the green light to move forward with it, and they want one now, but I keep telling them there are none made yet….that to me might be a good sign, but we’ll have to see what Everyday Edison thinks.

I think EE/EN should have a Gold Lounge at the auditions so we can have an offical place to meet. I’d be happy to be the offical hostess! That way I can meet everyone!

I like the Gold Lounge idea. We didn’t make it to an EE casting call last year. We had just spent every dime we had (and then some) to get to the American Inventor casting call in Houston (and we all know how futile THAT was!). So, we are looking forward to the EE casting calls this year, if only to meet everyone!

We definitely vote for a Gold Lounge. :)

Cheryl…I’m up for meeting at the North East Casting Call. Holly (Ideagirl) and I met for dinner the night before the casting call and had a great time. We also met up with some others in line at the casting call.

I “put all my eggs in one basket” and didn’t take advantage of the experience, not going to make that mistake next time.

Presenting my inventions will be just a small part of the experience next time. I’m looking forward to meeting ENers and others.

anyways Jason, Cheryl, Holly everyone I’ll be looking forward for the MONSTER PONG Tournament in the gold’s lounge.

BTW: Jason love the family photo :o)

Thanks guys…

Holly: Great idea!

Jason: Maybe we should hold the Monster Pong tourney IN the EN Gold Lounge

Chic: Bring a picnic basket man! Seriously, we’ll do our best to make sure there are dining options in and around the convention centers. The problem with McCormick in Chicago is that it’s in the middle of nowhere so there aren’t any alternate options if they close the food court – that’s not the case with most cities.

Sally, that’s why I don’t live in Chicago any more. If it snows here, you just give it an hour and it all melts. it’s 51 degrees here – still too cold for me but not bad. BTW, Charlotte is in NC – albeit rapidly encroaching on SC as we’re just on the border.

Hi En Team,
If you are considering Chicago again for a casting call, you might what to look into having it in Rosemont instead of the McCormick place. Rosemont has a ton of great hotels for out of towners and it is closer to O’Hare. For people that want to go into the city the EL is also right there. The Rosemont convention center is nice and has ample parking and there are even resturants close by.

And Chic, if you get hungry you can just shoot down River Rd and get some Gene & Judes Hot dogs:)

Hey Sally,

It wasn’t EE fault at the food courts closed, But we were there from 6am to 9pm. after awhile Matt started looking like a big deep fried turkey:o)

Sally I’ll be looking for a beef combo and maybe later go downtown and get some garrets popcorn.
