My entry was one of the three others similar to Margaret’s and mine went R8 too. That means that Toni’s entry is unique and very much still in the running. Great job, Toni! This particular invention of mine will be permanently shelved, and it was well worth the money to have the invention submitted to and reviewed by Swing-n-Slide, one of the biggest players in the game. If they can’t do anything with it, then why should I bother? I plan to shrug it off and move on to better things, all being offered by EN, of course! The point is to keep on inventing no matter what!

I agree Charlie. I have kids so the design I had in mind definitely took safety in to consideration. I would have let my kids use it. I know for a fact that EN worked hard on my behalf to meet the safety regs. I wish we could have had access to those regs before the search so I could have addressed it better up front. I looked it up but you had to buy them for about $50. So I deferred to my parental common sense.

Sorry Margaret, Saftey regs, That’ silly! Is there nothing that can be done to clear the saftey issue? When I was a kid we could skin elbows, brake bones and heal fast. Nowadays kids are ice climbing , sky diving, and doing other things that could be considered very risky. I believe it’s unsafe to leave kids on the couch playing vedio games, when they could be outside have some fun and being a kid. Kids love a thrill. I’m sure it’s good and will work somewhere.

R8 a week or so ago. Feedback was regarding safety regs. (This thread was locked back then so I posted it elsewhere). How’s everyone else doing?

Hello all – we are still working daily (and even hourly as one of the finalists involved may be able to attest to) on the Swing-N-Slide project. We have a few irons in the fire that are getting a very thorough cooking as we close in towards the finish line. Fingers crossed and know that the engineering guys have been working on some details for the submissions and I will update more as becomes available.

Thanks Marvin, Patricia, and Chappy! I really need to do some work on my Fund submissions, but I can’t stop checking this thread (and my dashboard).

I don’t know if this has happened before, but I’m certain EN will work fairly though. The problem may arise in patent protection and who the actual inventor is. A lot of questions will come up. I don’t mind being part of an elite group though, and I don’t mind sharing in success. It beats sharing in failure! I also want to say this is a positive occurrence because it shows EN and all of its inventors are learning the process well!

I’m out! I had three ideas in consideration but I think they are more appropriate for public playgrounds than home playsets due to their size. Good luck to those still in!

Good morning everyone – I have updated the majority of dashboards this morning, and have reached out to a few inventors that have ideas remaining. We have 4 ideas that are left on the board (2 a little healtheir than the other 2 – and one of these has literally 4 different submissions/inventors that are attached to same concept).

We have some next steps of follow-up design work that we are likely doing for Swing-N-Slide, they will be confirming that over next 48 hours. For several of the items there are still safety elements we will be working on addressing.

Will keep you guys updated as we work to move these remaining items forward.
