points going on!

Phillip……we all feel duh at times….LOL There is some terrific information here, years of accumulation. There are also times when things get a “bit” heated shall we say……which is unfortunate but human nature.

There are many wonderful, creative and helpful people here….enjoy and welcome!

BTW, my understanding is that those points are CUMULATIVE, meaning a G7 in sum would be worth 20,500 points while by itself the step from G6 to G7 is worth 10,000 points.

No worries Phil – we’ve all had similar misapprehensions. EN’s interface is pretty intuitive as these things go but it’s still easy to make incorrect assumptions about how things work. You’re not only learning a new interface, you’re also learning a whole new “mini-culture”. It’s been over 9 months for me on EN and I’m still picking up little things that seem obvious afterwards.

Duh on my part, thanks guys! I’ve been staring at that thing the whole time but thought the fact that I had 38,750 points meant I was a Stage 7 Insider. Boy do I feel dumb!

Tried searching for this one but didn’t have much luck. How many points do you accrue per stage advance? Looks like 10,000 per possibly? Or does the amount depend on the stage? I’m still amazed at how many points some of you have! =))

I agree when having numerous submissions, a spreadsheet really helps. EN is very good at correcting the points. Of course the growth-so many new members, is no doubt a challenge to keep up with. A very good challenge though.

Yep – after I realized I had lost out on 30,000 points for 3 ideas that moved from G6 to G7 I emailed EN. After 3 messages over several weeks they finally acknowledged the mistake and manually added the 30k.

That was clear-cut but because of it I went back and did up a spreadsheet of all of my submissions and point rewards and found I was missing another 15,000 points over the course of several months – and I DID correct for the fact that re-submits/opt-ins do NOT accrue points.

The person who emailed me did say the insider points system is being re-vamped and automated and at some point the issues I and others are encountering should go away.

Robert…..wow….15K……8 days? I can’t imagine updating with a manual system, mind boggling!

Tony – I’d recommend an email but even that may take a long time to resolve the issue. I’m still awaiting resolution on about 15,000 missing points that I emailed them about 8 days ago (with a second request yesterday). They are apparently dealing with a clunky manual system for insider points so things fall through the cracks and it’s up to us to make sure we don’t miss out on points.

Usually when it get’s moved up but I had one move on the 27th and the points are still not showing. I sent an email but no word yet. If it has been a few days you may want to send them a note detailing what is missing. Could be a glitch.
