I was wondering that myself Toni! I did a search for him and didn’t find him there. Just trying to put the face to the name, unless he’s trying to be elusive, going under a different name. ;~)

I have a question re: the dashboard on the LPS’s. Is there a reason why one dash would have a check mark and the other wouldn’t?

i.e. my G7 WPH broad has a green check mark & my ASOTV G2 has a green circle.

Okay, I finally submitted our idea after having been season 3 finalists but I do not understand the “dashboard” we are currently on #3 but if it just to stay in your database, won’t it just stay at 3? I certainly hope another fabric company submits a live product search but hey, right now, the economy is a bit sluggish (being kind)- but here is a question? What if a company actually contacts us first, can we send them to you to possibly get us a license? Thanks for your input

also, what is ASOTV LPS and spirit halloween? (Can you tell I haven’t been on the boards much?)

Sorry about this, one more question: about season 2 and the people who are chosen to be shown on the “trailers” of the season two -are these usually people who did not get picked for the show? (I got really excited when I saw Diane and I with our product after watching season 2)! We thought we had made it to season 3!!! (oh well) who are the other 3 on the trailers, can you let us know?

ASOTV stands for As Seen On TV. If you go to the opportunities page, there is more info on that search. The Spirit Halloween search closed mid November, thus, any threads you are currently reading re: that search are probably for folks who entered their ideas into that search.

I still do not have a firm Spirit Halloween presentation date. Unfortunately the pre-holiday date we were working toward will not work for their team. We are trying to schedule the presentation for early January. I’ll keep you posted.

Next LPS…There are a number of searches that are about to launch, but I’m reluctant to announce names until all the details are finalized. I hope to make an announcement on Monday. Stay tuned!!!!

Kevin, there is never a guarantee that a submission will be selected for a search, but with all the great submissions we are receiving, I would be very surprised if we didn’t have a number of selections.

LLL, I’m not sure I understand your question about the dashboard for a “regular” submission. I think you want to know what happens when you submit an idea for the database that is not applicable to a specific search. In this case, the submission will be rejected for the search since it isn’t a fit. It then resides in the database to be queried for future searches. You can also opt it into future searches. All submissions that or opted into a search begin that search on level 3.

LLL, with regards to your question about a company contacting your directly…if something like this happens, please email me directly.

LLL, I’m not sure which trailers you’re referring to but I imagine that you a seeing crowd shots or “man in the street” interviews from casting calls. I’m sure some of those clips will make it on the show, but I’m not sure which ones. Ask Daniel Cordero in his thread here, http://www.edisonnation.com/forums/18/topics/970

Each dashboard should have either one green check (or red x) signifying the highest stage that you have currently attained. We use a check rather than just red/green circles for that last step so that somebody with red/green color blindness can easily read the dashboard as well.

Are you saying that one of your dashboards does not have any sort of a check (or x) or that your dashboard only has one check per line?

If there’s no check or x, you’ve found a bug that we need to fix. From what you’ve said, it sounds like it’s possible that G2 is displaying a green dot rather than a check when that’s the highest level you’ve currently attained.

I think what LLL is talking about is the invention we were able to opt into the database (from Fortunate 124). I have a dashboard for mine and it’s labeled Product Search and is sitting at G3 with a check.

Matt, that’s the way it is on mine as well. G1 and G2 only show green dots. The first check mark shows up at G3.

Thanks Matt and about the “trailers”, my sister and I are at the end of the shows (chapter 4) and she and I are standing in front of our window display holding the curtains it is a one second spot and we are thrilled that we are on the videos! I was asking about the other 3 (at the end of the show there is a man with some sort of curly que stretch product, a chair with a cover of some sort and one more man at the end of the shows. We are thrilled with our one second spots but I wanted to know about some of the others that are at the back end of the show also. Just curious. We did not make the fortunate 124 either (bummer for us!!!)

I’m responsible for choosing those shots in the “webtag” at the end of each episode. I’m glad you enjoyed seeing you and your sister even if it was only for a second or two. The other inventors in that montage were chosen at random to show a variety of inventions that appear at a casting call. Season 3 episodes will again show snippets of casting call inventors pitching their inventions….perhaps you’ll make “the cut” again.

We got phone calls from some of our friends and family and said they enjoyed seeing us!!! So, yes, we hope that we once again “make the cut” – We look forward to seeing it (we had so hoped to make the Season 3 but hey, didn’t everyone who auditioned??) Also, we finally got our product submitted (had to get curtains and hardware together so it would look good)
