I am simply a new poster. I do remain very shy about posting, but I am trying to overcome this writer’s block. It is not easy.

I posted in another thread, but I encountered a huge silence. It was for sure my fault. I could not quite figure out how to introduce myself.

Anyway, I am a Graphic Artist, native of Colombia, (Now a proud US Citizen), happily
married with one 10 yr old boy. I live in beautiful South Orange, NJ, just about 2 1/2 miles from where our great hero had his lab, which is now a museum. (Yes, Thomas Alva himself.)

Like most of us I am trying to materialize some dreams, and I am not relying on dreaming only. This thing takes a lot of perspiration, but that too can be enjoyed.

I have been contacted by a Mexican company who wants to produce and market within Mexico, which would help open doors elsewhere, but they want to see the final-final product. I just don’t know how to go about it.

Obviously, I am looking for marketing help. licensing, patnership to manufacture, any mutually agreeable type of arrangement in this area. Or simply advice and orientation.

Hi everyone, my name is Fred. I think of myself as an inventor, over the years I have come up with a lot of ideas for products and then see my very idea come out onto the market down the road. Anyway I’m finding a lot of good info on the site. I currently am doing patent searches on a couple of different ideas and when I’m done with that I will be looking to the rest of you for guidance on what the next best step will be for me to take. Hi Guys I’m Dave.
I have been in the construction trades for 35 yrs. I rec’d my first patent in 2006 for a tool I invented. I brought it to last yr’s casting call in Providence. That’s when I joined EN. I’ve hit “Top 5” once for WPH and submitted a few other ideas also. I am slowly getting involved in forums and enjoy the family relationships that are forming and all the encouragement you offer.Thanks!

Hello everyone…I am a newbie(Kinda)..I just want to say that I have a great deal of respect for everyone that is on this site. The information available on this site is flat out awesome! As for me…I live in Las Vegas and I am a Flair Bartender at the best entertainment bar in the world. I have 1 issued patent in the automotive industry…O.E.M. device…yeah I know…such an easy industry to break into…lol…anyway, I have a beautiful wife/best friend of 5 years and 3 gorgeous little girls ages 4,2, and 4 months…what were we thinkin huh..they are all my EUREKA moments! I will surely be needing help from you all, and I cannot wait until I can be of assistance to some of you. I have quite a fabricating background if needed by anyone. I love the LPS formats, and I am patiently waiting for the right ones for all my ideas…as I’m sure most everyone else is as well. Good luck to everyone and hopefully we will meet each other down the road…ideally in line at the bank!!

I am new at this and would just like to ask a few questions. I have a very simple idea that I would like to submit, but it is not an idea for the kitchen, and it doesn’t seem like its good enough for the other company Hammer or something like that. It would fit more in the educational department to help others learn. Should I submit it here and hope someone picks it up or what? Would I be able to pay for a gold membership in advance say like six months or so?

Hi Cheryl and welcome! Someone tried to pay in advance a while back and found that it wasn’t possible, though they may have changed.
My advice would be to look at the form for the current searches: each one is different but they are similar. Use the format to develop your submission and then either submit it to the Hammacher or keep it on hold for another search that is a better fit. If you submit it to HS and it’s not picked, you can keep it and submit it to any following searches without having to pay the $25 fee again. You would have to pay the monthly Gold membership fee to do that. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone! I joined EN last month so you can say I am practically a newbie. I discovered EN while searching for my favorite magazine, Inventor’s Digest because they have stopped appearing on the newstand where I usually buy it from. Discovering EN was a Eureka moment by itself for me. I work in Finance (accounting) for an oil & gas company, so inventing is my greatest escape to the monotonous nature of my job.

It’s wonderful to be in the company of the most creative minds that the inventing industry has to offer.

I joined Edison Nation last month, I must say I’m enjoying this Forum immensely!!! I’m a Nurse, Musician, Writer and am driven by the power of Invention. I’ve been designing things all of my life but never put any of it out there until of late. I seen a lot of that which I designed taken by someone else re-engineered and taken to market, but that’s the name of the game, who can build the better mousetrap. I really got started with this in 2004 when i decided i wanted to break into the sports Industry, (thus the name SPORTZIAM). My ideas got off to a great start but were bought to a screeching halt when my Son had a set of Identical twins, one died shortly after birth and the second died two years later. In the interim my focus was on helping my family heel from our tragic loss and helping take car of Quinnn because he required round the clock care, was born completely disabled an on a feeding tube. We shared 2 years with Quinn and tried to give him as much Love and comfort as we could. In 2006 He passed in his sleep. We’re still in the heeling process but have put our lives back together and are evolving stronger and more determined than ever to try and help others who experience The Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. So at some point if I get any of my products to market so the money would be donated to that very cause for research. My grandson’s have passed by my dream lives on. I am the very proud parent of 7 wonderful children all of which are grown except one who is 16 and lives at home with me, an inspiring engineer or a move over Tom Brady football hopeful. The eldest of my sons, is a Senior Software Engineer for NASA, one is a Lawyer, two are Chefs, one is a Physical Therapist and one is work towards a PHD in political Science, It’s been an interesting journey to say the very least. Hope this gives you some in sight as to what I am about. Have a great day.

Hello to you all and thank you for the warm welcome and kind assistance since I very recently joined less than one month ago.

I am an architect, designer, art director, project manager and fabrication engineer (For lack of a better term, if there is such a thing!).

Most of my work over the past 20+ years has involved themed architecture and design. Including theme park rides, shows and attractions, restaurants and some retail. I learned my trade mostly on the job, working with many talented individuals and groups of people who have been kind enough to mentor me and vice versa.

Currently I am employed with a company that engineers and builds custom decorative light fixtures, such as chandeliers, wall sconces, pendants and some other related specialty items as different projects dictate. 95% of our work is installed in just about any of the Casinos in Las Vegas and elsewhere throughout the USA and even in several overseas projects.

Before that I was the project designer for a major architectural firm in Las Vegas.

I have a knack for being able to conceptualize, sketch, render, detail and direct just about anything someone can describe and make it look nice. At least, I’ve been told…..

It seems that I am in very good company here and I really am looking forward to mixin’ it up with all these creative people!

My name is Josh and im super stoked to see a great sites for pospective inventors. Hats off to the founders of this great resource for inventors,with all the schemes out their from companies that have no interest whatsoever of helping people get their idea’s to market,it’s refreshing to see that their are those that have an interest in everyday people that have good ideas and inventive minds that need a little help mapping there way through the process!

I placed my first idea for LPS a couple of weeks ago,and im tickled with the fact that there are pros that are gonna look the idea over and give me thumbs up or down on something my little (pea brain) came up with……lol!

I do believe their are alot of inventors out there but its hard to bring us all together at once,but ENandEE have came up with a unique way of making this possiable.I guess i would call myself a more (OUT OF THE BOX) thinker than inventor,hince my EN tagname IDEAMonster. Thats what my ideas become for me, a monster like the one you told your parents about that was in your closet when you where a little kid. But they never believed you…..lol!

I’m just just a regular JOE with no formal education beyond HS but i’ve always been a creative type of person and look at how things can be eaiser needed or better in a logical kind of way, cause that’s really the only way i know.I dont know if that’s good bad or indifferent,but it’s how i create.I have never took anything apart and put it back together never had any of my idea’s made into prototypes or any of the such,but i’m very interisted in finding and learning about the (HOW TO) of it all. I hope that i can be of assistance to this group in some sort of way,not really sure how i can do that with all the talented inventors that frequent here? My experience is simple real world kinda stuff,i ran a family business and have been in sales in some fashion all my life.I’m pretty good at marketing,sales and promotion.I will no doubt be buggin some of you for ideas and info regarding my inventions,and i’m more than happy to help when and where i can!
