I have heard this advice given many times on here and that is, “Find other things to keep you occupied as you play the waiting game”. I just have to say that one of the greatest feelings of fulfillment I will ever experience in my life is seeing my idea move to G8. This has very little to do with an idea succeeding. Instead, it has everything to do with field/area.
I have devoted myself to the sport of baseball for over 35 years now in one capacity or another. This devotion ranges from playing for 20 years and coaching/instructing for another fifteen. My idea is still at the G7 status for Rawlings two weeks after the presentation. I get chills from the thought that there is a POSSIBILITY that my own idea could possibly impact the sport that I’ve given so many hours to.
I am aware that the dreaded “RED” could come at anytime but I am also prepared as well. However, it is such a great feeling and experience that I needed to share it. Has anyone else been in this situation where their idea could directly impact their own line of work? Please share!!

That is truly a good feeling, My own too is at G7 for ASOTV, and just knowing that you have a chance, makes it even more exciting, but the best part too is that in your heart your rooting for all of the other folks here on EN also, Everyone is a winner.. Great! success to everyone.. |

Dave ; yes i know what your talking about, alot of people talk about the money and the money only , sometimes it takes a whole generation to except your idea or product but what about the "good " your idea will bring to thousands of users , can you put a money value on that ? i don’t think so ! i have a power tool idea that if i would of developed sooner maybe i would have not have had knee surgery this year ! the years of cutting pipe kneeling down on concrete and dirt have taken its toll ! so don’t give up the light bulb will come on and everyone will “SEE” what you been trying to show them for a long long time ! TJM.

Good job Dave! I’ve been sitting at G7 Irwin tool search since the presentation in November. Just sitting and waiting. I had another one go the distance but grabbed a R8 right after presentation. At this point I find it easy to forget about them and move on to the next idea. It’s cool to see the dedication you’ve devoted to the sport, I hope it’s rewarded with that G8!! Good luck! |
