I am in the middle of preparing some grant forms. I personally haven’t ever been awarded a grant, but I do know inventors who have.

I did recieve a tech. grant from Bradley University a couple of years ago, that’s what got me started. Check your Universities! Not only do they offer grants, but sometime pre-seed loans for tech. and start-up. Not only that, but a lot of them have student programs for inventors, where you can get things done a lot cheaper than hiring a firm, for example, I got two rapid-protos done for under 1K.
