Just saw this show today on CNBC today and wanted to pass along the information. Its a news magazine format show that talks about people who had that Million Dollar Idea – and actually did something about it. There are episodes on Hulu and on the CNBC website. Not sure the normal day and time, but it is an interesting show. Its doesn’t go into a lot of depth but it does inspire…

Heres a link to one that features the guy who invented the Super Soaker and the guy that started the “Life Is Good” brand…

Hmmm – I wonder if they would do a show on “How I lost my millions”. I could be on that one. I heard someone say once – right before going to jail – “I’ve been rich and I’ve been poor – rich is better”. I have learned a lot about humility after going bankrupt. I left the business world for many years and now dabble with inventions instead of creating companies. No big pay days yet. One of the best things I’m learning is patience. Don’t expect an immediate payoff – even if someone licenses your invention. Good luck to us all – dreamers and doers.

Just finish watching this and it does get you thinking…this could be me. Good luck to all who is taking the chance to go out on a limb and make thinks happens or at least put their idea out there for scrutiny.

Erika- Yeah I also though the whole licensing of an ice cream flavor was interesting and strange. I really liked the story of the Idea Paint – that was neat and its such a great product – dry erase paint!

I saw it too! Thought the “Moose Tracks” branding and trade marking was really interesting. I also liked the head blade (shaver for the head for the bald man) I loved when he wrote the big companies and he got blown off; now they’re ordering from him!!!!!Yeah one for the “little” inventor. Isn’t it funny how big companies want NEW product but they won’t look at anything NEW….hmmmmm, I think the definition of insanity is in there somewhere.
