I just now saw this thread also Frank. It can be baffeling to see the rejections when many of us can see the explosive sales potential. There are many stories about people that stuck with it, although they received many rejections, and finally their idea or book was accepted with great success. Then those that rejected wished they had not. But I can see the possibility with this, that even those that rejected in the past, can still accept in the future, when they see the future successes. Just don’t give up it’s too good, they will eventually see. |

Thank you Mike! “Success” with the technology has been elusive…. I was able to secure a non-exclusive license with a desk-top resin airplane Scale modeling is a small niche, but “Ornaments”, “Mirror Charms”, and “Souvenirs” would be Mass. I built 30+ ornament samples for test marketing purposes; everywhere I showed them the response was positive, without exception, so I made arrangements with several private retailers in a 150 mile radius to place them on their shelves and price them as they saw fit (prices ranged from $10.95 to $19.95) to guage how shoppers would recieve them. In THREE DAYS they were ALL sold, with shoppers/store owners asking for more! 1) Material cost is between .70 & $1.50 each… I’ve presented the concept to many companies, large and small…. most showed interest but later declined without explanation. |

Yes, I also have the yellow circled star. Perhaps after the EN Fund winners are chosen they will let us know about the “ILP”. |

Yeah thats what i was thinking, maybe since there all together looking at the G-7’s they’ll decide which patented ideas that where X’ed should move on for the licensing program ? Saw your product in the magazine looks really nice!! can your ip tech. be used for like snow globe’s or say a halloween crystal ball with witches , ghosts and bats etc, making them look like there flying around . Thank you so much folks! <:-) Betsy – Glad you finally got your magazine… I’ve been bragging on your Eggies too! <:-) Don – I am seeking licensing opportunities first; they’re currently entered in the Insiders Licensing Program, and hope EN might want to find a home for the concept. There’s at least three mass markets the concept would fit into; we’ll just have to wait and see where it goes, but I do have a couple more avenues in the wings should they decide not to. |

Thanks, Frank – I love that story. In looking at your likeness in the anniversary gift, I can imagine you in a duster and that brings to mind Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. (Hope I have the correct movie….) No matter, that gift is just perfect. |

Thanks Mark, Scott, Mark, and Julie…. <:-) By Julie’s request: Back in August 1982, I was working part time giving airplane rides at the local General Aviation airport up in Doran, Va. One Saturday morning these three girls showed up wanting to “do something exciting for a change”; twin sisters Lisa & Lois and their friend Diane. I took them out in the Skyhawk so they could all go together… after coming back in, Lois & Diane (who were in the back) asked where the restroom was… LOL… so I pointed them toward the office and off they went. Lisa stayed behind and after about a minute I asked her if she’d be interested in a free trip around the pattern while she’s waiting on them; she said “Sure!”, so away we went! After turning Final I got bold and ask her, “If I can squawk the tires on the runway numbers, will you give me your phone number?” She smiled and shook her head ‘yes’….. well, I did (something I had practiced doing many times) and as we taxi in she hands me a piece of paper and made me promise to call her…… three months later we were married, amidst avid (you haven’t known each other long enough and it will never work) warnings & protest. Thanks to God’s good humor, we’ve out lasted ALL of the naysayers! LOL On our 25th Anniversary, I built a diorama of that special day, complete with likenesses of us, and gave it to her as a gift. People say: “You built her a model airplane for an anniversary gift???” Well, it may just be a model airplane to everyone else, but it means the world and all to her… and me! <:-) |

Here is earlier recognition for Frank’s talents: http://www.edisonnation.com/forums/other/topics... Frank, maybe its time to tell, again, the story about how you met YOUR Lisa. Cupcake-Lisa: that is just too much fun! You put the Cupcake Girls, and the others, to shame……… |

I think if EN were to offer to those of us that have set up shop and are manufacturing and selling that would be incredibly generous. Perhaps they’d do it too. I would think that there are hundreds of visitors that might be interested in purchasing for their own use, but also potential business relations that could be built. But EN would in a way be hindering it’s leverage to work as a potential licensing agent by doing so. In some ways it could greatly help EN’s credibility as a source for viable products available. If some flunky such as myself can be profittable seeling my own invention, potential licensees might reconsider the viablity of one they would otherwise pass over. I’ve gotten to a point that I’m not sure (again) the direction I want to pursue. License of Manufacture. |

Scott- That’s just it…you never know who will see your product and what will happen. I know a few folks who renovate and update garages for people…and will be showing them the Holeyrail to include in the line up of items they do already including floor coatings and cabinets. The Holeyrail metal would look real nice I bet, next to some new cabinets. As soon as my garage is re-done your system will be in my garage. : ) And hopefully I can get some of Franks Ornaments shown to the people I know at Lockheed Martin. I know some neat aerospace items that would look cool suspended in those. We need an EN member store page so we can all have our available products linked from that page. Maybe even make a new tab at the top of the site for it. What you say you? |

congrats Frank, Mike and ID also ran a little spot on my product. I did get one customer that specifically mentioned the magazine had sat on his coffee table for months and he kept seeing my writeup. Finally he broke down and decided to get his garage organized and knew that he was going to use holeyrail to get the job done. I jope the write up brings you the rewards you seek. |

Thank you Lisa! You know, when I read your post about 10 minutes after you done it, there was something about your name that rung a bell, but couldn’t figure out where I’d seen it before…. then a couple minutes ago I remembered! My youngest daughter is a cake decorator and occasionally brings flyers by to show my wife (Lisa too btw), and one of those concerned a cupcake that was decorated to look like an animated figure was taking a bath with bubble covered water running over the side of the tub (cupcake paper). After a Google or two, by golly it WAS you!! Congratulations on winning 1st prize in the Jelly Belly contest with it!! It’s an honor to meet you! |
