Today we celebrate America’s Birthday by the use of fireworks and family traditions. We have come along way since the first firework was invented in China 2000 years ago, which was constructed with small bamboo cases that was filled with gun powder and had a fuse that ran down the side of the bamboo case. Fireworks were used to ward off evil spirits and bring about happiness and good luck and used for many celebrations. Today America’s celebrate the birth of America on 4th of July by shooting off fireworks and taking a walk down memory lane of History, some with watch reenactments of history of the past and others will just listen to what our elders kind words of wisdom have to offer.
Today my two grandsons and myself visited the site July4: Exploding the Myths on you tube. It gave them a better understanding on why we celebrate the 4th of July and on how fireworks were made and when and where they were invented. Inventing of fireworks has come along way from gunpowder to micro chips to creating out of this world firework displays. From my family to yours, Have a happy & safe 4th of July.
