It looks like copper and silver may be making a comeback in the lex-icon of the American mind set. After years of growth, frugal is the new black and the renewable movement supports it. What are your thoughts as inventors?

1.Will innovation win out to comfort?

2.Will price point lead over quality?

3.Will vintage category’s like “home laundry” make a comeback, or will Service trump do it yourself?

Yes, No, Vintage and from an earlier post on this topic:

“In our case we offer a store that has a very unique value proposition …In way that is what EE is about too, finding new inventions that offer a high value to the public and bringing them to market. It is through EE’s value proposition to their retail partners, and to us inventors, that EE even exists. I am amazed that they are looking at bringing 200+ products to market, WOW! Now that is value to a retailer: contact EE and they provide leading edge inventions that your competitors don’t have. "

www.ShopSalus.com , and we’re as new of a startup as you can be .. think of the concept as having all of our customers be inventors :)

…and Entrepreneur Magazine just did a one page article on us for August…we have it posted to our front page.

yes" but not as much as I use to. In less i integrate a drawing board into my bike. Then theirs the sweat issue and clients don’t like stains on there drawings. You may have noticed in the episode’s, some of my bike collection make there way into the back ground.

I don’t know if i’m anything like “society”, but I have definitely changed my mindset a few years back. I’ve always been frugal, but I no longer have interest in “stuff”. I won’t spend a dollar on something i think is “cool”, but will spend hundreds on something I find useful, and needful. I purchased my motorcycle because it would pay for itself in gas savings. I bought a large screen TV because I don’t need to go out, and to the movies, as frequently. I will pay twice as much for quality, as long as the quality is twice as good.

One of my policies (yes, I have self impossed policies) is that I do not buy anything that will commit me in the future. I don’t have any memberships, I don’t have cable tv, I don’t have any loans. I know what I have now won’t last forever, so why would I commit myself forever. I had to seriously debate the $10 monthly Gold membership, but figured the advantages/gains would well outway the cost. I did not look at the gold membership as $10.00 per month, I saw it as $120.00 per year. Hey Enteam, I just had a thought, can I get a years coverage if I pay $100 upfront?

I think the trend towards green stems from both grassroots leftist ideals and corporate recognition of efficiency/lower overhead in green technologies.

That trend is the inevitable consequence of the industrial revolution.

That, coupled with people being FORCED to deal with high gas prices raises the question of, “We probably should have been doing this all along huh?”

There may be a backlash against the Fight Terrorism by Shopping, F Jesus’ B-Day this is National Economic Boost Day, Keep up with The Jones’, BoxMart standard…

…Americans may embrace QUALITY, Minimalism, Sustainability, and the SLACK these things provide over useless fluff and decor and junk and perceived/planned obsolescence.

Mark,
Thanks for your suggestion. We’re not set up for that now but may implement it in the future. We’ll be sure to let you know if we do!
