Question for Design experts - Daniel?? Anyone??...
Margaret Pryor mger80 213,250 Insider Points	I’m trying to find some software that will allow me to use a photo of my prototype, then transform it into a sketch or drawing (basically tracing it). Photoshop doesn’t really do what I’m looking for (or if it does, it’s too complicated for me to achieve the result I’m looking for). I want to be able to make a 3D model and animate it. I tried Sketchup, but no luck so far. Can Blender do this? If not, does anyone know of a program that can do it? Mark Reyland markreyland	You can use Illistrator to trace it into a vector, then download a 30 day trial of Rhino and import the vector ….it’s just a starting point….yo will still need to know how to build the 3D file….but Taina was working with Rhino a few weeks ago so she may be able to help. posted December 28, 2008 19:23 ( )

Account Removed accountremoved	hahahaha Rhino….I can draw on there like I can on paper…no 3D. I just couldn’t wrap my brain around it, but give it a try Margaret. I wish there was something that I can draw normal and press the ‘easy’ button and it turns 3d…THAT would make me happy. Sorry I’m no help Margaret. posted December 28, 2008 19:57 ( )
Mark Reyland markreyland	If you have CS (2/4) they have illistrator on them…if not, I don’t know what other program will trace a vector file for you… posted December 28, 2008 20:02 ( )
