In the spirit of “Scientific Experimentation” would it be interesting for us to form a temporary makeshift HONOR SYSTEM cooperative? Where we could collectively invent one great idea to submit as a group to an LPS ? I probably wouldn’t normally submit an idea to “Street Surfer” competition on my own… But in the name of “science” I’d be willing to test our combined intellectual power to light a light bulb and foot the $20 fee if anyone else was up for it? We could submit it in anyones name, (I pretty much trust most of you) haha or we could vote on who. To join up simply post a thought onto this topic and u r in. If anything ever came to fruition we would all split it evenly. To show I’m not tryin to scam I’ll throw out the first couple ideas… Lil toe straps that screw onto tops of skateboards (mostly for launch ramps)… or I’ve seen, (on Transformers movie) but don’t know if it’s patented, roller blades that are just one big wheel each.

Intriguing idea, but seems like multiple logistical items would have to be worked out such as: 1) EN typically wants to license a patent to somebody and if you do an open forum of invention seems like you would be doing a public disclosure and the 12 month rule comes into play patent wise, plus you mess up being able to file a foreign patent. Could be solved with a password protected blog where each member would sign an NDA before getting access to the blog. 2) Who decides what will get submitted to EN? Ten members will probably have multiple ideas each and some ideas will not be keepers. Could use a voting system with each member having an equal vote. The ideas with the most votes could be further refined by all. 3) What percentage of a royalty do the members get if the idea gets produced and assuming unequal participation of the members which is likely. Possibly a voting system could work as well, but members should know how it works going into it. I would think there are other web sites doing the same or similar experiment. Perhaps a search is in order so we don’t have to re-invent the wheel. |

Agreed on all accounts Dond, But I would have no clue on setting up a pass protect blog n would definately leav that up to som1 else. Voting would be the heart of this experiment n shoud be used as often as possible. Also similar search is good idea |

Goto this and read. This is what you are eventually talking about. You would all share in the agreement as co-inventors and if your ideal is selected then you are shared owners in the product/business. |

That Bigidea place is very cool Sully! n thanx for that I will definately put a couple ideas on there.. But also am hoping to get involved with somethin smaller than that though with EN friends too. |
