Wow..he’s so awesome with that PhotoShop!! The other night when I was watching the Dallas game with my husband..it dawned on me that Jerry Jones highly resembles Professor McGonagall (from Harry Potter movie) when he has that worried or concerned look on his face. So, I printed out both of their pics and cut and pasted (with scissors/glue stick) something together and showed my husband but he didn’t think it was that funny. Hehe. Maybe it’s better that I don’t know how to Photoshop?

Fairin, you couldn’t be an Outsider if ya tried! But, I like the theory…you all are probably using photo-shop to erase your points! :-) Here’s a little ‘fun fact’…when EN started the Insider program, we all got 75,000 points for just signing up. So some of our numbers look more impressive than they are. Oh, and when I got my G8, the Insider program wasn’t in place—-so no points for that. Just a little trivia for ya!

The real scoop is………. all us OUTSIDERS… are really INSIDERS playin our cards without showin our SECRET numbers… Thats right we outsiders are UNDERGROUND !!!!!!!! oooooooooooooooooooooooheeee HAR _~ :)

I agree with Betsy. I was an “outsider” for almost 2 years. I even submitted a garbage invention to see how the process worked before I took the leap, it went R-4 BTW. I figure if I am submitting 2 inventions per month then it is worth it. If submitting less then really isn’t worth it. Like Betsy, I love the I.D. magazine and the free opt-ins make it completely worth the investment. The free submissions because of points aren’t a bad incentive either…

Beadle, you rock! There are lots of ENers who aren’t Insiders. It took me about 6 months to take the leap. I love it cuz I like the ID mag, the free opt-in submissions and the other perks. It just depends on how often you plan on submitting.

So only insiders can post pics and now they’re the only ones who collect points too? Damn, it’s lonely here in outsiderland…

Steph, Marvin has more than 685,000 points. Eric’s got more than 500,000. Whew, those guys are busy! My points just kind of inch along. The most points I’ve gotten lately—-was when the Colonel and Pete gave me theirs in the Bandai 36 hour marathon game! I was sooooo excited! ;-)

I think the most points I’ve seen are in the 300,000s. I used my free submission for hitting 50,000 and now the points that show up on my dashboard feel inadequate. I have to keep looking at them in the forums to feel better LOL. I guess I’ll have to ramp up the submissions too. Happy New Year everyone!

Good advice…..also remember, when you use points or opt in to another search, you don’t get points…. that would be a double dip!

Stephanie, you’ve definitely been ENized! Isn’t it great? Also, you won’t lose your points when you redeem them for free submissions. I remember thinking the same thing when I first joined. I didn’t understand why everyone was saving their points. lol

It’s a good indicator of how much of a ‘beating’ an inventor has taken over the years! Other than that, it doesn’t indicate much because a lot of people opt-in to searches, and no points are given for opt-ins.
