LOL! Lighthearted place to poke fun at your dashboard and at ourselves. I have been actually talking to my computer 3-4 times per day…
“Awe C’mon”, " Really?", “No Movement still?”, “Grrrrrr”, “You know this is a great idea!”, “Please!?”
What do you do to pass the time?
I know, “invent/submit something else” and I do. I have no less than 3 products on my drawing board at any given time. I am not the impatient type but this morning it was before I had my coffee and I lost it. Blowing off steam… ;-)

I just saw your comment Matt. Thanks! And thanks to you all! Now, if I could just get the “real world” to cooperate with my inventing… I need some new dashboards to obsess over. :)

Thanks Emily for validating that I’m not alone. But may suffer from a unique form of OCD…..

Well put Emily indeed. If not on exploratory and seminar travels across the country, I don’t leave my house just busy writing, studying, researching, posting, inventing and I just was studying diamagnetic compositions and sourcing materials. I have escaped my reality all right of selling real estate which requires me to get out of the house and talk to people…lol

I would agree Matt … Thank you Emily, your statement is pretty powerful and should be a mantra we all share. This repetitious and obsessive cycle is easy to fall into … but not as easy to walk away …

I just keep telling myself, no movement means no red x. If it never moves I will never see that red x…I’m ok with that. ; )

Well, there’s a coincidence for you. I posted to this thread yesterday, and a couple hours later I did get an email notification about an R6 on a submission that hadn’t moved in months. Maybe I was tempting fate.

I read books when I can, I work full time and have 3 kids under the age of 3……but even though I get email notifications on my status, I still find the time to check my dashboard at least 3 times a day, lol. I think im going to get started on a business plan sometime in the next 2 weeks. Never a dull moment. ;-)

Lol Chappy,
I get the email updates. Sometimes I get one on my Blackberry and know I will be away from a computer for hours for whatever reason. Even if I never see an idea come to fruition here it’s a great chance to learn a little more patience in life. This is a great creative outlet for me and I really enjoy the idea of thinking of something new in the world. It must be my left handed brain. Which reminds me. How many south paws do we have on the board? I was just curious.

I get email notifications when my submission’s status changes, so I don’t check-check-check.

Inventing is my escape from the “real world”. The “real world” is my escape from dashboard obsession. Ha! :) They seem to balance each other somehow…
