It’s Official… I’m a Moron !
Take a look at my Micro-Blog from December 08, 2011:
==>> Pretty excited 'bout "Innovation II" and "Rawlings". Both good ideas with large markets.... Less excited about Shat-R-Shield :( <<==

So under the heading of “Inventors are often the WORST Judges of our own Inventions”

  • My Rawlings submission fell out with an R4….
  • My Innovation II submission fell out with an R5….
  • Yep, you guessed it… The Shat-R Shield submission that I was “less excited about” went R8

Just goes to prove… KEEP INVENTING, YOU NEVER KNOW!!! ;-)

Too funny Mark! You are so right, you never know. When I joined EN, I submitted 3 ideas for a BBB search. 3 weeks later I submitted one for Petsmart and 2 for ASOTV.

BBB..3 R4s
Petsmart…1 R4
ASOTV…1 R5 and then my G8.

Who knew? All ya can do is believe in your submission, and certainly take the chance! If you’re a moron, just shows ya… What kind of people I adore!!! :-)

Mark, you are NOT a moron.

I think that is good advice: Keep Inventing. But I think it is fundamental to trust your own judgement. To that end it might be necessary to actually equip your judgement with a lot of knowledge of the whole process, the industries and the market, while being objective and critical of yourself and your projects.

But don’t sell yourself short. Don’t blindly accept anybody’s opinions as dogma or facts. They are only that: opinions. They might be right. But they might be wrong.
