I’m new to this site, submitted my first 2 ideas a couple days ago. I find the most frustrating part of this process is not being able to talk about your ideas. I know there are a couple EN teams out there that have had success, but I’m not really looking for help in developing I just want an outlet to bounce ideas and relieve my anxiety.
Are their any groups, set up like “Team Talva” with NDA’s, who just discuss ideas without sharing potential royalties? I would be very interested in something like that. I have a lot of ideas in me and have found that discussing them not only helps them but sparks new ideas. Friend me if your interested and we can figure out NDA’s and details from there.

Thank you guys so much for taking the time to answer my questions. It’s good to know that groups pop up all the time, cause I have only heard mention of teams. I’m really impatient and the from what I hear EN’s progression bar is a very slow death. Cheers, |

You can pull NDA’s free off the net, just google…also, I am on a team on a few ideas..we would create a real company together if we should ever get picked, so don’t worry about that until you get a license…yes, we all signed NDA’s on each team….I think it’s a must…but we collaborate together and pay the fee ($20) together too… |

Welcome Albert, You have mentioned this a couple times. When I was 19 I developed a gaming controller. I had drawings and market research; I had some big plans. I just wanted somebody to talk to about it. Then I had an artificial intelligence software concept, then there was this and then there was that… I even had an entire city concept built on clean principles and perpetual motion. To me it was all extremely interesting stuff and people actually listened to me a few times. I talked and talked to people thinking I was networking… Internally, I knew these ideas were good. Here is what I learned in that experience. The human mind is designed to solve problems. If we encounter a problem that we cannot move forward or solve, it is frustrating. If we can solve the problem we do, but it is all speculation and theory. Somtimes parties just disagree and it is stressful; stress over speculation and theory. We have had discussions on ideas in the forums. We have designed Beanies, Toasters, Potato Chip bags and even redesigned the Nail. What I learned out of that experience is that unless the product is designed for market and is successful then it is just fictional. When in discussion with other inventors how do you control whether they / we incorporate discussed ideas into their/our own inventions? No NDA is going to prevent that. Just a whole idea that is a product. I have found that discussions in these forums are primarily about things that are happening in the world, like: LPSs, Methods, products, families, emotions and other concrete topics. Ideas are yours, EN gives us the outlet to get them out of our minds and see if they are decent enough to take to market. From what I can tell I think you are either looking for a brainstorming session or help with your invention. What is your background? Do you draw? Are you an engineer? Are you a rainmaker? The real question is how can you make yourself valuable to a group? After you have been around for a while, you will gravitate toward certain people and others towards you. Your submission progressions will speak loudly and there will be people that gel into groups for one reason or another. My guess is that you are a really nice guy and seem personable and eager. Just keep that spirit up; people like that. Once you have some successes (each stage is a success in my mind) people will be attracted. Just participate in the forums and you will find the niche in which you fit. Groups form all the time. It is sort of like in highschool and being picked for the dodgeball team… lol Welcome to EN Chappy! |
