Nice idea Sarkis. It would be nice, and I know someone on another thread was trying to make a correlation between the two (submission date and level). While I am new at this I have been trying to learn the process and its workings since I got here, and I feel pretty comfortable saying that there really is no correlation between the two. I’d hate to see someone get overanxious or be driven to drink or jump off tall buildings (just kidding…on both) because someone else’s is going at such a different pace. It seems to me so far that there are countless reasons why one might go faster than another…ie multiple LPS’S for the same product, so EN’s aware of it; different details that may surface when looking into another (similar) product, or maybe EN is waiting or hoping for more updates or edits by the inventor, therefore stalling them at a certain level.

I don’t know. I am curious too, but I just don’t see this working. At best, our community might just get completely happy-fingered blogging and freaking out trying to understand, and inevitably bugging the EN Team unnecessarily.

Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe some of the veterans here or the EN Team will chime in her tomorrow or something and encourage this topic to carry on, and scold the new guy (me) for trying to advise when I should be at the shut up and listen stage.

I think that most of the time when other peoples ideas are further along in the process its because they are ideas that have been recycled. So EN already knows what they are dealing with and its more just a question of if the idea is a good fit for the manufacturer. On the side of ideas that are not moving forward very fast and/or have just stalled at a certain mark, they may very well be great ideas and EN is taking extra care to make sure it works and can actually be patented. This is of course is just my opinion. Usually there are many inventors who do share what level they are at in the Forums.

Having been around a while, I have made over 140 submissions with over 50 actual product ideas. For any given LPS, I typically recycle product ideas and almost always submit new product ideas as well. I do not see as a whole the recycled ideas being processed faster than the new ones. I also see no correlation with fast or slow movement of a submission and obtaining a G7. What I know is to expect a lot of G5 – G7 dashboard movement a few days before the presentation date. dond agree, half of mine were recycled as well and those don’t move any or less faster than new ideas just placed, although I do edit and update the older ideas once in a while, so I guess what was old could be considered new.. not sure if they can see when database changs were made, they probably just review each as new…

I’m new at this site and I’m already an addict too! I got an email about the ASOTV deadline on 2/26 and submitted an idea on the 28th. It’s at G3. I ended up submitting other ideas to the Ball and Presto searches too. Total 4 submissions. 3 at G3, 1 at G2. No red x’s yet, and I find myself dreading that. We need an addiction thread and a “how do you handle a red x” thread.

When I received my first X, I went to the lounge and ordered a drink. That forum hasn’t been active for a while.

I’m thinkin 12-step I.A. groups/meetings. Maybe a 12- step IA group thread?

Hi All STILL at G3

So, I have a question, on the AsSeenOnTV search…I made about 11 product submissions to start…all made it to G2, then a few quickly got knocked out. Earlier this week, a couple more got knocked out at G3, but 2 days ago I had five G4s and three G3s still in the running. Today it’s down to three G4s and still holding at three G3s….but I’ve seen other people comment that they’re at G7/G8. So with the presentation on Monday, does that mean I’m likely out (so next week I’ll probably see a lot of red x’s on this bath of stuff since nothing seemed to make it to stage 5? Any thoughts? I’m usually x’d out days before final presentation which is why I’m curious. Maybe EN is working this weeknd?!?

First time submitting to EN I don’t know the order of the reviews meaning first come first serve or it is random, cause as I see people that submitted last minutes got there idea reviewed and passed G3, if it’s not random I should’ve been either processed by now or already out. Good Luck to All

I know everyone’s on pins and needles this weekend, but I’m trying to help you…this is one pin or needle you don’t have to be on…no correlation.

Ya, i’m in this too. Two products but they are sold together. I’m at G3. I’m kind of giving up hope. I figured I’ld have more progress faster, but based on how far I need to get to a G8 I don’t see how this could happen in just a couple days. Complexity of design isn’t the hold up, at least not for my products. By process I have a feeling that some of us may get knocked out simply because there isn’t enough time to review…

I have 4 G4 and one G6 at the moment here Sunday morning. Unless they are working on Sunday it looks like they’ll have a very busy morning of meetings to eliminate and finalize their decisions on Monday.

Thanks guys…what is hard is that my husband tried to tell me my idea was silly after I drew it out for him but I had these crazy notions that it was “Cantastic” like yours Phil and the whole world would love it…but I guess he was right!! Next time if I try an LPS, I’m going to get his approval first (And maybe even his help!?), do a more precise search (on google patent) and make sure I’m targeting the market exactly where I need to…for now, I’m just gonna hear…“See, I told you!”

I feel the need to comment on your last post. Please don’t sell yourself short. There are many reasons why an idea doesn’t make it. It is great to ask for opinions, but follow your instincts. You might surprise yourself. :)
