Robert, I’ll be here. I have 4 ideas so far going into ASOTV. PetSmart, we’ll see about that one… I am sure I’ll come with one or two at the 11th hour.

I have a G3 in Petsmart, and I am anxiously waiting also to hear about tomorrows results in the WD40 where I’ve been sitting on a G7 also. Good Luck Everyone!

And I thought my day job was a stresser… I’m working up to 80-100 hours a week. I’m at least hoping I can quit “half” of my “day job” sooooon! But then again not knowing anything in the LPS’ has been a killer…even though I think I would like the LPS paydays better…for now, better keep the day job and just keep trying! So don’t give up and always Hope…I’m still seeing the greener side of it! $-)

We have a new puppy and she is being sneaky and stubborn about house training. What I’d like to see is a easy, fast way to house train a pup. The chewing everything is a different issue.

True I did, but my wife would send me to the pound first over the dog. LOL! She’s part of the family now and there is no going back. In spite of her flaws or even because of them she is loved.

yea if a dog could just stay a puppy and if kids just come out adults the world would be grand

Phillip! What breed of puppy or is it a oops, the dog got out and pregnant puppy….? How old? There are simple ways in keeping with their instincts of history. I love puppies actually, dogs in general. Got a few tips if you want.

Robert, I didn’t mean to sound greedy…although green has always been one of my favored colors, I’ve nevered let monitary things hold value in my life.

This has been a great opportunity and someday I would like to be able to afford to quit my day and make inventing a full time job…I’ve always loved problem solving and would love to turn it sooooon into my day job! ;-D

Phillip, I recently saw a site for a dog breeder that claims that you can “litter box” train your puppy in just two weeks…Go figure…Don’t boys lift their legs and always seem to miss their target??? Guess theres a litter box out there that covers the wall too? Haven’t seen it, but might catch on for a new and improved litter box idea for dogs! lol

I have licensed products to ASOTV companies and have some expensive experience. To start, ASOTV companies want you to at least have a utility patent pending (preferably a patent), a working prototype and some idea of costs. I generally have a prototype made in China and then send the CAD drawings to a China Manufacturer to get quotes. The product has to have wide appeal. A “short form” product, like one of mine at www.lidpunch.TV, is one that usually sells retail for no more than $29.95 and can be presented on TV in a two minute commercial. A “long form” product, like a steam cleaner, can be most any price as long as it presents well in a 30 minute infomercial. Cost of the product should be about 1/6 of the TV retail.

Be prepared to be ripped off. ASOTV is notorius for duplicating your product all over the world, whether you have a patent or not. It takes pretty deep pockets to pursue a patent infringement lawsuit. Some ASOTV marketing companies are also known to rip off products from your presentation or when they see them at trade shows. Subscribe to Electronic Retailer magazine and you’ll get a huge amount of info.

Going through EN is probably your safest route since the little guy tends to get eaten alive in ASOTV. I wish you good fishing.

It is prudent to do your homework before dealing with any invention / marketing company. This is the second time around between EN and ASOTV, it is a proven relationship and process. I don’t believe anybody is ripping anyone off here.

One G-3 in ASOTV. It went R7 in BB&B, but I think it’s a better fit for ASOTV. Hopefully the Edison Nation folks will agree.

well i know we have to wait to the end of the month till the search is over, then like the end of july before we will see any G-6 to 7 movement per AMT EN TEAM

There is no doubt that there are unscrupulous companies in the ASOTV world. That’s actually the reason we started the ASOTV searches – we spent a lot of time and research identifying the good guys. There are only about half a dozen or so in that industry that we have found to be large enough to really get behind a blockbuster and completely above-board as a partner. I’m sure there are a few more out there that we haven’t met yet but the ones we work with have been fully-vetted and have worked with us on other DRTV products in the past (such as Holly’s Shoe Skirt).

Thanks, Matt. I was actually wondering about some companies that we may encouter outside of the protection of EN. But this is not the place for identifying companies in a negative way. I shouldn’t have asked.

We’re fortunate to have EN to vet the companies in DRTV. As I said, my experience in dealing direct has been very expensive. I have established relationships with some and I can tell from the list of products that EN lists for ASOTV that they are dealing with the good guys. I would NOT recommend dealing direct with any of them, despite all their hype, unless they have been thoroughly checked. You will probably do better in the long run working through EN.

well lets hope EN can handle the bad ones and weed them out for us.

lets hope petsmart needs more than one idea for all of the pets that are out there.

people love to spend money on their pets.

also we are due for 3 searches to end one after another this time.

so lets be patient and try to give EN a little time .. ok my wheres the results come on.

yes it seems for the first time that just about everyone is stuck in G-3.
but i would dare say that they are waiting for all of the ideas to come in first since there
are so many..

i think we all are clear on the potential to be ripped off at every corner.

i`m at G-4 i have not heard of anyone past that yet, but i`d say next week will see alot of movement. no tthis weekend because of the 4th of July.

one day and counting to the end of the first search. next is the 10th.

Mark thats a great start.. yea now the wait. it should wrap up around the end of the month.

I think we should go find the Colonel and Tommyboy and the gang and hit the lounge again… Make this wait go by a little quicker or should I say easier?

did they change the submission date? wasn’t it July 1st – now its the 2nd – not that it matters. I submitted an existing idea last night- which had r5 on BB&B and it went right to g3 on ASOTV- the wait begins!
