I just read on the AOL news portion of their home page about ASOTV scams and various product reviews. Any comments from our members or EN staff?

Yo TommyBoy, I think EN is on top of this… Here is a previous post from Matt addressing some of the negativity around the ASOTV business.

There is no doubt that there are unscrupulous companies in the ASOTV world. That’s actually the reason we started the ASOTV searches – we spent a lot of time and research identifying the good guys. There are only about half a dozen or so in that industry that we have found to be large enough to really get behind a blockbuster and completely above-board as a partner. I’m sure there are a few more out there that we haven’t met yet but the ones we work with have been fully-vetted and have worked with us on other DRTV products in the past (such as Holly’s Shoe Skirt).

If you’re a newbie, stick with EN. You can easily get carved and sliced in the DRTV world.

Hey all… this thread looks closest to something interesting I just learned of today from a completely unrelated (to inventing) periodical that fell into my hands. Me (being new at this ), and all of you …not so much, you’re probably already aware. There’s a website out there AS-SEEN-ON-TV-REVIEWS.NET, that provides users’ reviews of asotv products. I glanced at the list and didn’t recognize any of “our” communitys’ products…but I’ve only been here 10 days.

FYI

Have a Day!

I have entered a product search for asotv but have been at #4 for forever. Is anyone else in their product search? Do you know how this works?
Thanks, and good luck to all!

eloise, i’ll bet they have many submissions to review and its a quarterly contest, so sometimes it takes maybe a couple months before a product gets the final thumbs up (or down). good luck

Eloise,
I saw the first question but not the second, my mistake.

We ask the sponsor to make a decision within 45 days but they have up to six months per the terms of the agreement you signed when you submitted your idea.

Happy Inventing!
