Hello Chris, yes I think a board game would be considered a toy and acceptable for this LPS.

Glad to see a new search…but wish it was less broad. I mean its good in the aspect that it appeals to alot of different inventors with different types of inventions, but its the type of search where you could have a kitchen product going against a pet product or a board game.

I’d like to see some searches that address specific needs or specific problems. The one search that did this the most was the non-electric alternate heat blanket search…that unfortunatly seemed waaaaay out of most of our leagues.

I just entered this one on Wednesday so I am still at G1… This is the first submission for this idea. I have one other idea in ASOTV and it is a G7 – it was an R8 in Westpoint Home. I am working on a couple more ideas – one for the current ASOTV and on for Ball.

I like having one forum for a particular LPS so we can see who is at what level and when EN is making decisions. Good luck everyone!

I have one at G6 but it is just a resubmission of what ended up being R7 from last year. Hopefully they will feel differently about it this year.

Mine was also a re-submission from last year and it went R8 just as it did last year. The dashboard shows it TBA as the submission date. Have they already submitted to CTS?

HI Brenda, don’t you wish they would at least tell us why!? So frustrating! Don’t give up!

Oh, I am not sure, but I do not think that they have submitted as there would be a date where the TBD is!

Hi Brenda, just saw your post. You might want to email Marla or someone from the EN team directly. Something like this happened to another member and they were told that it was a technical mistake, that their submission should not go red until after the presentation date. Just a thought :) Have a great day!

Hi Marla…this LPS closed almost 6 weeks ago and still no presentation date. Any idea when a date will be set? I’ve got 6 submissions in this one…all stuck at G3 & G4.

Oh, man….got a R5 this week. So disappointed! :o( Maybe next time.

Those R5’s are so ugly, I was disappointed and angry, but I also realize that my product wasn’t really appropriate for the sponsor, but it was within the line of stuff they carry but on the more expensive side, so I knew deep down it was not going to make it to the presentation date, but I had hope. I will just move on and I am happy that it made it that far.

I just got an email from a toy company wanting to setup a date to talk, so Street Surfing may miss out on this one……Just got to see how it goes!!!!

I have contacted Street Surfing directly and they never even bothered to send any kind of response.

I can’t say I never give up, there are times when you have exhausted every avenue and you just got to throw in the towel, but when that happens rest assured I couldn’t have tried any harder.

But for the Glideboard I have just barely begun to explore the avenue and skate boarding is bigger now than it has ever been and the need for new riding experiences is on the rise. There are approximately 18.5 million skateboarders worldwide who purchase on average 8 skateboards a year and those are pretty good numbers, sure my board won’t appeal to everyone but if I could invent something everyone wanted then I could make Bill Gates look like a poor man = LOL

Wow..that’s awesome news, reddawg! But I’m not really that surprised because when I showed my teen your “creation” she wanted me to order it! (LOL!!)…What about Quirky?? Are you gonna still keep it going with them? Is your project still running with them and can you just pull it out if you want to? (Sorry..don’t know much about the “Q”!!) Good Luck!! BTW..The thing I like the best about your board is that it can turn into a snow-toy as well…Here in North Texas, snow can come as a surprise (and sometimes not come at all) and not many people keep snow-toys around…but your product is sort of ready for anything!!

Sherri, that’s great I appreciate it and if I ever get it to market I promise you I will send one to your little girl. I will ride it out with the Quirky team and if I find myself having to make a decision between them and the toy company I will ponder that when the time is right.

I’m glad we have a presentation date for this search. I am only at G3, so I have quite a few steps to go before 5/21. I have lost track of where everyone is… I know we have at least 1 G7. Is anyone else past G4?
