I was listening to the homeless marathon last night and I thought why not do a LPS for the homeless. Just wanted to know what you guys think about this idea. Basically an LPS that focused on products that could help the homeless. So basically you pay 25 dollars to submit an idea that would help the homeless in some way. Which ever idea was picked EN and a company or homeless organization could produce this product. Of course these would be free but there could still be money in it. I know alot of people might say there is no money in creating products for the homeless but I think if it were a good product some company or an organization group for the homeless would be willing to invest in it and get it to the homeless. Even if there was no money to be made in a LPS for the inventor I think it could still be a great thing in general for the world. I guess I’m just wondering if I am the only inventor that would like to create an invention for the homeless? Is this a bad idea for a LPS?

I think it is an absolutely wonderful idea and I hope that a lot of people would donate their ideas for free. I know I will, if I can think of anything useful. |

Patrick, I think it would be a great idea as well, but I’m guessing EN won’t do it, they’re not really set up for it; it would take some innovative thinking on their part to pull it off ;-) A few months ago I posted about an organization called Hope for Homeless Youth, which is a house that tries to get homeless youth off the street, offer them a bed and a meal, and some spiritual guidance as well as other services. They have an inventor’s club where they try to get product on the market to fund their non-profit organization (http://hopeforhomelessyouth.org/index.php?nid=8.... Maybe this is something they can host and the proceeds can go to fund their organization, or something of the sort. I will bring the idea up to them if you don’t mind, I think it really has merit. |

The homeless problem is something we all wish we could put an end to, unfortunately it is not an easy task to accomplish. I wish I had the answer but I don’t but anyone who puts any effort into it I hail as a Hero…….. |
