I am not sure Denise on how long but I think like 6 months, but I have a ton of ideas in to keep me busy…it helps to come up with lots of ideas and sometimes, things happen with schedules, etc….get those ideas flowing!! Happy inventing!

You have been here for a very long time. Your insider points show that and your knowledge here is greatly appreciated on this forum . If we cant get an update from EN then your the next best thing to that lol. I honestly did not know that it can actually take up to a year for a presentation date to be set. Relax everyone, from experience these searches on EN take a long time, this one in particular has been long…I would stay occupied by coming up with more ideas for other searches…some searches to making a final decision is 1 year long…just trying to help you with your frustration, it’s not worth posting it in the forums as they are very busy.

It’s been 25days now since the last update on this search from Rich. I thought someone looks at these forums daily and responds to questions. We do pay a monthly fee. Not me because I havent updated my debit card yet and I havent because Im very frustrated right now. I have been gone along time for my own reasons and came back to give this site another try. Getting a presentation date set has never ever taken this long ever….This search ended January 30th.
Hey Andrea since you started this forum can you tell us anything or maybe drop in? Fell kind of stupid like im begging for answears from the home office. Think they are going to loose alot of insiders if this is how communication is going to be.

Frustrating is right. I don’t know why at this point they can’t tell us something one way or the other.

I agree with you Laurie. Update would be nice right about now. Have’nt been on for awhile. Lost my debit card and had to replace it with a new one. Logged on and saw Im no longer a insider until i update my acct. Maybe when they update on there end I will too LOL. Yeah, I think Im going to waite on that one. This search has already cost alot of money considering I only had two new inventions in at the same time. One has already ended and this one who knows when that will be.. Very frustrating!!

I’ve been out of it for a while although still eye ballin the site. After fighting the bankers, I’m in my house for a while longer (lol) I’ve been building a display case for all my diecast cars (They keep me young at heart) I’d post a pic but they’re on the other computer.

@Laurie, since this is “Kids Only” FRUIT JUICE is probably most appropriate.

No worries Steve – I think everyone is in the same boat. Like Chris said, EN almost always waits to award G7’s until the night before or day of the presentation.

Steve, if you are talking about for the Kids Only Search then you are definitely still in the running. I doubt anyone has reached G6 yet b/c there’s still no presentation date. I have also seen in some searches where people are G5 the day of presentation and still get news that they reached G7 later that day.

So, (I’m asking because I don’t know) if I’m still waiting on the G6 passing does that mean I can count myself out at this time then since it seems like you should be at G7 before being considered ?

Chris – it’s a little confusing because in several places on any LPS it says “the LPS sponsor has 45 days from the presentation to choose the top submission(s)”. However (and Scott D. has underlined this many times) the timeline that REALLY matters is 6 months from the presentation – that’s the deadline that has teeth in it.

This really came home to me recently when I received my final R8’s in the Irwin Tools LPS just a week or so shy of 6 months from the presentation that was done on Nov. 8, 2011.

I don’t think any of us begrudge sponsors for doing a thorough (and time-consuming) due diligence before they make what may be a very important decision and very large investment for them but no one should get their hopes up too much that they’ll have an answer within 45 days of a presentation.

Unfortunately in this Liberty search this means that winners might not be selected until as much as 9 months after the search closed (or more if it takes even longer to determine a presentation date). A little frustrating and depressing but better than the possible alternative – an invention idea sitting in a drawer written on a napkin for 10+ years with nowhere to go!

Actually, 45 days is just a best efforts “target” – the binding requirement is that the sponsor make a decision within 6 months after the presentation/award of G7’s.

Thanks for that. I had it backwards then lol. I thought it was 45days after presentation date was set not when you reach G7 . You are right and that makes sense then to maximize those days.. See we all keep learning something new around here. Guess i will join in on the toast now. Can we add a shot too?

There won’t be any movement at this point until the presentation date is set. Per contract, EN has a certain amount of time (45 days I think) after reaching G7 to get a decision from the sponsor. So it would make sense to not have any G7’s until right before presentation to maximize those days. With that being said, this wait is still painful. Hang in there!

This kind of waite would not be uncommon if you were at G7 already..No movement still. Come on enteam. Presentation date will come in due time. We just want to know if we are IN or OUT! Please move the dashboard. (: Who is all in this one still?

anyone know if there have been other waits like this? or any way to guess how much longer?? i’m considering doing something else with one of my submissions and am torn as to wait this out or move on this other opportunity….i love the EN process, so i’m inclined to wait, but i don’t know how long i’ll have the other chance…..

All my others have fallen by the way side except this one (waiting on G6) It sure makes for an interesting wait.

Things will start to happen now that they have a date, but remember you won’t know a G7 until the day prior…hang in there everyone…get used to the waiting, and get inventing to take up the time!! :)

Ok Im going to say it….This is getting ridicoulous now!! I know looking at my insider points it looks like Im new around here but, really I have been and insider on and off since 2009. I do have to say this is by far the longest I have ever had to waite for a presentation date to be set/movement on any search yet.
Michael, according to EN they are still trying to get a date set. I did ask them if the search was on or off because of how long this is taken. They said it’s still a go. Fingers crossed we hear something this week..

I agree with you Lunar Men. Cant beleive still no word. This has been the longest waite ever and the longest I have not moved in any search! Not sure if that’s good or bad at this point. Conference call on 23rd to lock down some dates so maybe will hear something this week. Fingers crossed. Good luck!

Sorry for the delay in responding to some of your inquiries. Working from the top down:

Q: Any word on when Presentation date might be for Kids Only search? Havent heard or seen any post about it. Thanks much!

A: We are having a conference call with the folks at Kids Only tomorrow (March 23rd) to try and lock down some dates for the final presentation.

It has been 2 months since the close of this search and STILL no presentation date. If this search is defunct (or not) I hope someone from EN lets us know. Our team put a lot of work into this one and it is very, very discouraging to see absolutely nothing happening and no end point (presentation date) to force things to a conclusion.

Still no presentation date that we know of.

Any news on presentation date anyone? Im still green but havent moved for days!!

Still G5 and havent moved in a pretty long time. I am excited about this one, hope we get a presentation date soon! ;-)

No movement for us in the last few weeks either, which isn’t a big deal.

What’s more concerning is that the presentation date is still “TBA” – so this search appears to be in “go slow” mode right now.
