I have one at G3 and I guess this will be a true test of my patience as I check it all day long! I did however finally figure out that they (EN) are on west coast time so I only check between 1 and 8:00 pm NY time. Oh well, it’s fun – I think we all deserve credit for even submitting! Good luck to all the ladies in the BB&B – stay green!

I am still at 2…I submitted mine on the 26th, and I can already see a test in my patience…I have never checked anything so many times in my life!! I am not sure how the whole process works, but I just keep reading and learning as I go…

Grew up outside of Boston and now reside in Tuckahoe NY – I am a new submitter as well – came up with an idea a few years back for one of the seniors here and never got to see it to fruition – so when I read about the BB&B search I decided – what the heck – you never know!

Sheila- Since I live in AZ, I feel like I have to check all night. I went from G2 to G3 one night at 9pm so my obsession is with me all waking hours. I’m praying I don’t get fired over it.

Lesia-You are hilarious, I’ve read some of your other posts after you had only submitted one day previous. I joined late too (not as late as you) and stayed at G2 for about 3 or 4 days. Then it just became same obsession, different G.

Also wanted to say Hi to Toni, you are such an encouraging/good energy around these forums, your title in your picture suits you. How long have you been an EN member? Are you a full time inventor? I was hoping you would find the forum.

Lori is sooo right Leslie is hillarious & Toni is such a great positive energy here. I am a SAHM have tried my best to get fired on several occasions, but to no avail ;) Right now my boss (my 2yo)is napping so I get to hang out and chat while he isn’t watching.

I grew up On Long Island Shelia & Moved to the Poconos PA in 2001 just before 911.

I hope it’s legal for me to post on your thread……..but I thought I would chip in an answer to your question about how many submit?
Spencer’s was the very first LPS and there were right about 1,000 ideas submitted to that. I would assume that the general trend should be up from there as the word has gotten out a bit more. And some searches are broader than others……I would expect maybe 5,000 for the BBB search? Something of a shot in the dark guess, but there it is.

Hi Everyone!! I also am a first time BB&B submitter. Mine have been at G3 for at least a month. It gets very frustrating waiting for a change to be made. Well good luck to everyone

If I was a SAHM, Allison,(my first friend), I would need to invent the scrolling dashboard so I didn’t have to keep going back to my computer every 1 minute. At least I have a boss that can check my internet usage at his will, so I only check 10-20 times during work hours. What am I supposed to do? Not checking is not an option. This forum is my support group for my powerlessness.

Hi Lori, thank you for the kind words. I am a full time
inventor. I am retired and have the good fortune just to be
able to invent and chat on EN and make prototypes all day
long and take care of my three puppies(one is my daughters).
My computer is on all day and I check it often, so you can
always find me.lol

You all have a fairly long wait. BB&B closes on the first and we usually don’t know who won for atleast six weeks from
then. But it’s fun watching the dashboards and chatting with
all of you.

And thanks Mike for answering ques. Didn’t mean to exclude anyone, just wasn’t seeing very much in the forums about BB&B specifically. You are welcome with the girls though, just keep up your skills of offering emotional support/not judging about female obsessions. Ha

I also am G addicted. When I got the check on 3, big WOO HOO. I have now learned, that is pretty much the holding pattern for now. But always thinking green!

IRINA—-Perhaps they have not been submitted to EN before so they don’t have “background research” done on your ideas? When did you submit? I spent a week on G1, a week on G2, and now a few days on G3 where I will apparently sit for another couple of weeks according to people who seem to know.

Hi Lori! That would be a good explanation. I submitted my ideas on 25 and 26th.

You’re as obsessed as Lesia! I’m amazed how talented everyone is! I had one good idea a few years ago and thought that was all I needed. If I had more than one good idea in this century, I would have to quit my job just to keep on top of all of this. My one little idea, that has never done anything impressive to date, occupies my brain 24/7. If the law of attraction really works, why are we not all on G8???

Thanks for the numbers Mike. I had a feeling BBB would have tons of submission since the search is advertised in their stores. Your son is absolutely adorable. You have a lovely family. Hope you make lot’s of money so you can spoil the tar out of them.

LOL Irina – my dashboard is stuck too. The EN team is working on some LPS’s that have closed. They’ll get to us in due time. I would think the stage of 1-3 requires alot of hangs on,time consuming work. Making a file, entering the info into a computer, things like that.

YAY – I get to be Lori’s first friend. All I can say is Thank God for laptops. If I had to leave my kitchen (I live between the kitchen & laundry room) every 10 minutes to check my dashboard nothing would get done around here.

Hi MoD – it took me a while to get comfortable with the wait. My first submission was with Lifetime Brands. I’ve gotten used to it even though I want my G8 yesterday ;). There are still some closed searches the EN team is reviewing and preparing for presentation. We’ll get our turn. I can make a staright jacket for you too ;). I am getting good at them they are looking really pretty. Mine is pink, with some bling, Leslies is green. If you have a color preference let me know. Who says you can’t go to the loonie bin and still be a fashionista ;) We’ll need to come up with something that allows us to still eat cheese & drink wine while we are there. Maybe we can get a cabana boy :-)

Allison-I’ll take Green, my new fave color. Have you seen the movie “Doubt?” Meryl Streep’s office is green, I fell in love with it, want to paint mine now. Plus, G is a part of our subconscious now. Cabana Boy? Fine by me.

Well it looks like before this is over with, I will have to get treatment for corpel tunnel syndrome…I can’t leave this thing alone…I am addicted “all strung out” on EN…Crazy huh?? I am really enjoying these discussions with all of you…They are Great!!

Hi Toni: Three must be absolutely fun! Pups are the most endearing and entertaining friends. Thanks, that is Charlie’s (boy) photo, couldn’t fit his brother George in the frame. They brighten my days, can’t help but smile with such good friends.

Allison, I think you may have something here. With the right Cabana Boy, wine and cheese, we could sit around while CB checks our G status on a big screen and does all the laundry. Just think how much fun the interviews could be! LOL

although i am mostly pursuing licensing my products on my own, i had one idea (a sewn one) that i submitted…

i never want to sew another product again for the rest of my life….sewing around the clock for three months was grueling..

Hi Eva – one of my ideas requires sewing so IKWYM. It’s not currently in an LPS cuse there isn’t one it fits right now.

well ladies lemme tell ya. Interviewing cabana boys has not been so easy. The ad clearly said “young & hunky” somehow, some of these boys misread it to be “old & funky”. Had a couple of cutties that will make the next round. Don’t worry I’ll work it all out and find us some good ones. Now I can see why EN has such a hard time narrowing the playing field ;)

My guess is the old & funky probably think they are young & hunky! Not an unusual male trait! LMAO

Some interview ideas:
Skill Set for Cabana Boy position:
should be adept both at applying copious amounts of sunscreen to lily white
maidens and rubbing in tanning oil on to bronzed goddesses. Cabana Boys should
be ready, willing and able to fetch drinks by the bunches to prevent dehydration
and sobriety among the League. CBs should be able to multi-task by taking drink
orders, entertaining the ladies and applying sunscreen at the same time. CBs
should also be adept at painting toenails as pedicures are often damaged by time
spent poolside.

Rating System:
Create a score sheet. Assign points to
the oral exam, points to the tests of skill, and a few points based on
appearance and personality. Eye candy!
I think good grooming and an entertaining
personality should be high on the list.

Test of skills:
To test
sunscreen application, you could draw an outline of a body on a sheet of paper
and give each applicant a teaspoon of oil, water or lotion. Give them 20 seconds
to apply the liquid to the body. When you hold the paper up to the light it will
be somewhat transparent. Whoever has the most even application gets the most
points.

Give potential CBs a verbal list of 5 drinks from 5 people. Send
him to a location across the pool to give a League girl the order. The potential
CB will be given 5 glasses of colored water to represent the drinks. Whoever
gets the drinks back without spilling them, getting them wrong or putting their
fingers in the glass gets the most points.

To test pedicure ability,
blind fold the CBs and have them paint some toes. When the blind fold is
removed, they will realize they painted the toes of another man. Points for
accuracy while blindfolded and ability to take a joke.

So much potential! Tough job Allison, I think you can handle it!

I’m definitely getting better at this game. I just submitted another idea and didn’t wait until the last possible minute to do it! I learned the hard way with one of the first LPS’s. So many of us were submitting at the last minute that we overloaded the system. EN was nice enough to extend the deadline by a few hours so everyone could get their ideas submitted.

It’s really nice to see so many new faces here. I hope you all have as much fun here and learn as much as I have. Good luck to you all!

The jackets are not ready yet. Remember the watched pot? If you watch a pot of water waiting for it to boil, it won’t. Or something like that. Step away from the puter and focus on something else, like another idea/invention. Passion is good, obsessive is not good mental health.

Also, more cheese, maybe crackers, is absorbs the alcohol. Turn the puter off! No sense in seeing slow 50 times a day.

My group just entered 4 ideas today! Talk about last minute. And don’t you know I just thought of another idea at lunch today. It’s funny because I was thinking about my yard and all the things I want to do to it to fix it up and then the idea just hit me because I need one and there isn’t one on the market.

I just have to convince my group that’s it’s ok to submit yet another idea!
