I am not in this search but I just drove by their corporate office today! I was shocked to see it. I had no idea they were so close to me. I was just driving around to see if I could find a new way to get to school faster (yes I am back in school) and there they were!

Nice to be back together again with some familiar “faces” and some folks new to me. I got into ASOTV and Lifetime Brands LPS just a few weeks ago. I had almost forgotten the stress, but now I remember :) . Kinda missed it though too. Anyway I’m at G3 now. good luck.

I’m at G3 as well. I thought I would try and not log on every day. In the BBB search I did not figure out the forums until June. I tryed not to care, hoping my stress wouldn’t increase the longer I was in. I made it to October hanging on with a G7. Then the big red X. It is great that there are other opportunities to try again. I think EN is an interesting way to share ideas and such. One of the hardest things for me has been to find answers and resourses along the inventor path. I’m giving away my age,but we did not have internet at home when I patented my invention. Good luck Tim, I can guess how you feel as a new member,this is only my second search.

I checked the status of your submission and it was a technical glitch on our end. I’ve fixed the problem. No submission should ever go R8 before the presentation date. Thanks.

I appreciate the change Kelly… That would have been the second time the same submission went R8 with a TBA on the date. The same thing happened for the first Lifetime Brands search. It still even this year later says TBA so I am still a bit off at seeing it.

How did you get to G7 so fast? I’m at G4. Hope they pick more than one!

Jodie my G7 is a recycled R8 from the previous Lifetime Brands search last year. With a Sketchup Pro 3D file I did I hope it makes it more clear for them this time around. ;)

So anyone else hanging back at the G3 level? Not that I’m complaining I would rather be G3 cuz they’re working it out, muling it over. It’s just that it sounds like everyone else is moving up there.

HELLO EVERYONE, JUST WANTED TO BE PART OF THE DISCUSSION. BEEN SITTING IN G3 FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW, AND THE PRESENTATION IS STILL TBA. I WONDER IF SITTING FOR THIS AMOUNT OF TIME IS A GOOD OR BAD INDICATION? HAPPY INVENTING TO YOU ALL.

Pat, it doesn’t seem to make any difference. I had one sit in G4 for approx. 4-5 months or more and when the presentation date was announced it started to move. Ive had others at G4 or G5 a few days before the presentation and then move to G7 in those few days. There is no rhyme or reason. Even if you make it to the presentation (G8) don’t get to excited. There are some individuals on here that have made it to over 25 presentation and have yet to be chosen and a few others that have made on their first ones. I guess the moral of the story is stay level. Good luck to you. I hope you are one of the latter.

Do most people go through EN for searches or directly to the company with inventor friendly companies? I saw some posts that have inventor friendly sites. For Lifetime Brands and ASOTV, has anyone tried going direct? I am curious as to anyone’s experience with this…I see on both sites you can click on their inventor pages…

I had heard that if you went to Lifetime Brands website and clicked on a button titled ‘inventors’, it lead you back to the EN website.

Hi, no actually it goes to guy named Warren Tuttle…I tried it a few weeks ago..I didn’t know if anyone ever had luck going direct? My guess is probably not….

I know Warren Tuttle, a sweet nice man. Warren loved my faucet and he took the concept to Lifetime brands personally pitched it for me….He said they discussed it for over five minutes an unheard amount of time to discuss a product. Warren told me they were overwhelmed and impressed, unfortunately at the end of the day they had to pass on it……They just did not like that not only did they have to manufacture the faucet but the concentrate and holding compartments as well and that type of manufacturing has always failed. If you can work with Warren I suggest you do he is a kind and sweet and gentle man who wants to see everyone succeed…….A good guy I never met him personally and only know him by email and phone calls but a great guy to know.

Ken, that is so awesome, he was so nice and I just posted that he called me directly today. I posted on inventor friendly post by Roger Brown. That is so nice of him. He won’t call you back unless he thought it was a good product so good job.

I was shocked when he called me personally today as I missed the Lifetime Brands entry as I was not prepared at all at the time for an EN entry so I passed. I almost fell over when I saw his name come up on my caller ID.

So nice and felt my product (patent pending now) was great, had not seen it on the market and as you know he has had a ton of experience with his own stores in CT and bringing 4 products to market himself, 2 of which were huge! Anyway, I am not getting too excited as I know anything could happen but the add on sales are pretty big with this…but, still looking and maybe one day I will get there! Glad to know you had some experience with him, he works fast and if he passes there is a reason!

Friday May 14th presentation date, we should start seeing movement soon!

Been at G7 for over a month and now that there is a date I am even more nervous, After seeing that R8 a few weeks ago my heart skipped a beat. Second LB go around with this one.

Getting a little nervous. Feeling left behind. Anyone else still hanging back at G3 at this late date. I must really have them thinking about the design. I have sat at G3 status for 2 months now and I’m feeling a little overlooked. The fact of the matter though may be quite the opposite. Cuz if they weren’t interested they would have Xed me out by now; but they haven’t advanced me yet either. Hmmmm, well I’ll know when I know I guess. Anyone else hanging back here at G3?

Question, are there any forums where EN inventors who have actually had a product go to market with a search sponsor talk with others like us? Even better, any EN inventors that have started receiving annuities for their ideas? I would love to chat (or just read posts) from someone who has actually made it all the way and is earning money from their idea(s).

Hey Michael, I was in the BBB Woman of Invention search until very close to the bitter end. Anna Scolara(not sure of spelling) was anounced about six weeks before closing deadline. No others were chosen and we never heard another word. She did not join the forum and therefore we had no chance to talk to her. If you look up her profile, its blank. I think, due to disclosure issues EN inventers can’t talk about their inventions. This is just my guess. Life Brands is my second search. So I’m very new to all of this. But in looking around the site you see many of the same names over and over. There’s a wealth of information here.

Hey Tim,
A little delayed responding I know. Sorry been in the middle of a move. I just wanted to say it’s good to know that. It makes waiting a little more bearable. The other LPSs I’ve been in went a little quicker than that. I have alway’s at least made it to G3. The highest I have made is G5 in the past. This is a new entry for me first time out but I have also entered it in Presto and it is currently G3 there as well.
