This is great….I’ve already rolled one of my R8’s from WPH Broad into this and I hope it does as well (or better actually) than it did the first time around!

I am way excited, and totally shocked! After my Fortunate 124 was released I actually looked at Lifetime Brands quite closely, and they were my first choice. Matt, were you guys reading my mind? Kat, no news yet, still learning my lesson in patience on WPH :-)

Welcome, Darci! The ideas that are not selected are still yours and remain private. They go into a “vault” and are stored online at EN. You can select them for any future searches that you think appropriate without paying the $25 fee again.

Thanks for your replies! I sure appreciate it! Regarding the intellectual property info for the contest submission, if I have my invention “protected” with a confidential disclosure or other means, will EN/Lifetime Brands even give my invention consideration?

Darci, the way I understand it is that any product that we enter must be patentable. If you already have a patent then you are ahead of the game. We don’t have a NDA with E.N, but I believe E.N. has one with the companies they approach with our Ideas. If you read the contract agreement with E.N it seems that they have our interest in mind when dealing on our behalf. Maybe someone else will jump in with some more info.

You got that right Tania. He’s into everything. He just started kindergarten so I was hoping he would burn up tons of energy, but I found out that little boys have a unlimited supply. lol.

people wonder where they get that energy? They suck it from their parents!

My 3 year old will climb into bed with his big brother to watch tv. I come in and see he’s asleep…nooooooo!…that 5 minutes = 10 more hours of fun!

I keep trying to think of a way to bottle all that little children energy, but so far I got nothin!

Ed, if it helps, keep this in mind…in about 10 years, you won’t be able to get him to do anything! It’s amazing how teenagers can do absolutely nothing for hours on end and then complain they’re tired.

Well I just got my submission in under the wire for the Lifetime Brands LPS!!!! So … How’s everyone doing?

Hello all…

I just found out about this website and the Lifetimes Brands product search a short week or so ago and had a bathroom remodel take all my time so I was myself quite under the wire as well with under an hour to spare. Got all the info and a draft of the product together just today on a creation I came up with 8 years ago but simply forgot about until I saw the kitchen product search. Lucky for me I was able to sneak in the door so to speak the last day of submissions.

I feel like a newbie here and it feels quite uncomfortable (lol) as I am the head honcho member and top dog on the “Getsatisfaction YOLA” forums for YOLA (formerly Synthasite) the free website builder. LOL now I know what everyone else feels like on the forums I invest so much of myself on.

Anyway, I simply wanted to say hello all and happy to be here…

Good for you Edward! Glad to have you aboard. You shouldn’t feel uncomfortable here. Everyone is pretty cool and straightforward. Sure we get on each other’s nerves at times. But everyone seems genuine, if a bit crazy. Good luck with your invention!

I am very new to this site. I checked the website last night and it said the Lifetime Brands search ended on April 2nd… so I thought I could wait until today. But now I can’t find a way to submit.

Did I misread something? I am so upset that I missed this deadline. Any help would be appreciated!

Actually I think the deadline was at 2 am or so this morning….now over. I messed up the Hammacher S deadline the same way, thought it was midnight.

It actually ended around 3am EST this morning. I believe that time is intended to let the West Coast folks get their submissions in, which for them would be April 1st at midnight. Perhaps, someone else can offer a different or better reply, but that is my take on it.

Glad you found EN. There will be many more opportunities for you in very near future.

Welcome aboard huh? Did you spend time in the Navy I wonder? I got out of the Marines some 14 years ago and that just sounded a little Navy for my blood. LOL Kidding…

Never server on a ship but that was because I am 6’ 7" tall and I would have knocked myself silly every time I busted a hatch (went through a doorway). With my cover (hat) I stood 6’ 11" and was quite the billboard walking down the street you could say. ;)

Ayway, just wondering how long it will take Lifetimes Brands to review my product… Hope it doesn’t take long…

Just kidding, 6-8 weeks [usually before you know if you are a finalist less time to find out if you are not but that depends on when you were elinimated[steps 4-7 on your dashboard]
Now dinding out if, as a finalist, whether or not the company is going to ‘take’ your idea can take as long as 3 months!

But hey, where else can you have someone develope, produce, and market your idea for $25.
