Same Invention, 2 LPS?

I have an invention that I have submitted to the ASOTV search. It is a kitchenware product…the same invention however can be slightly altered to be used as a pet product. To submit it to both searches as is wouldn’t do justice to either one and I’m afraid it would be more harm than good. The description for the invention under each search as well as some pictures would be better if done differently.

My question is, do I have to buck up another fee…or can I have a different description for individual searches…or do I put them all under the same thing and hope EN doesn’t get confused?

Hi Jason,

I am not sure how they would handle that. I have used different images for different LPSs, but not different descriptions. I would ask this question to EN support http://www.edisonnation.com/support

Perhaps you can state the multi-uses of the idea in a main paragraph and then separate the two idea descriptions into paragraphs with a header/title for each. You would also want to name your photos/images accordingly to the relative LPS.

These are just my thoughts, but I would get an official answer from EN before you mess with your submission.
