So far, 4 inventors have had their inventions chosen from the ASOTV II Live Product Search. Our ASOTV partners are the leaders in the DRTV industry and have brought many multi-million dollar products to market. This is a huge opportunity; congratulations to the following inventors:
Judy Head, Daren Danelski, Scott Maust, Eric Huber

Congratulations Judy, Daren, Scott, and Eric!
Now I’m nervous. Marla, does that mean we’ll be seeing changes in the dashboard soon? Sounds like we could still have a chance if our dash is still green??

Awesome! Great idea’s are getting recognized, I seem like a fish out of water sometimes, but it’s nice to hear that there are people getting their products to market. GO INVENTORS!

I like the fact that Marla started her post with “So far” That is encouraging for the rest of us.

Robert, the selected inventors above are not from the current ASOTV search. They are from the ASOTV search that ended June 30, 2009.

Marla, thank you.thats not bad at all.i imagine ideas are a dime a dozen, but good ideas are a little more rare.by the way

That’s my understanding too. Last I heard, they presented to a few and were going to present to a few more. All ideas to all folks involved.

Jaclyn, does your dashboard still say TBA for presentation date? I’m guessing that since we have products in the same field that the search sponsor for us and I assume others is still pending. That’s why I asked Marla how many haven’t been presented yet of the 106 finalists.

it does, bruce.
i check it every day!!!!! lol
i seriously can’t wait…and i’m sure thats the case w everyone. as soon as i get the dreaded red x i’m taking it to another company. i think all R8s should find other means of reaching their goals post-rejection.
EN is offers us such a great opportunity though…and i still have hope here…

How many times a day? Wow! What makes you so sure you’re getting a red x? Look, to make it to this point that means a bunch of smart and experienced people think your idea might be able to make them some money. Your idea has as good a chance as any to get a deal.

Hello Bruce, all 106 finalists will be presented to each ASOTV partner, and we are working to schedule 1 more presentation.

That sounds great. Thanks Marla. So there could soon be a green exclamation mark on my dashboard right?

Marla, are you saying that the ideas have already been presented to all of the companies except the one that just got scheduled??

Margaret, yes that is correct.

Follow-up question, if I may – none of those companies are choosing/eliminating all the ideas right away, right? So conceivably, an idea could be under consideration by every one of those companies and we wouldn’t see an R8 until they ALL rejected it, which could take up to six months?

Josh,
The companies are making the “no” decisions immediately so once we are finished with the next presentation we will release everyone who has had an across the board “no.” If you are being considered by one or more retailer then you could be at G7 for six months but we will try to have decisions long before that.

So confused…shouldn’t you all be talking on the ASOTV / Petsmart thread? Trying to figure out if all this pertains to the ASOTV I’m in? Feel like you all left me and popped on a new thread…I don’t get email updates for this one…why’d you all start a secret club ;) Phil, Maragaret, Bridget…you can’t hide from me ;))

I think I found my spot again…sometimes these forums and threads are so dizzying I feel like alice going down the rabbit hole! :)
Anyway, from what I understand all 106 of us have been presented to 6 companies with the possibility of a 7th. If we still have a G7 [:)] and TBA on our dashboard there is still a chance with 2 of the six original and possibly the newest one. Correct?
Congrats to the 4 that have been chosen! Yea!!!

One more thing Marla,
Could some of those companies that have already picked one of the lucky four be looking at more of us?

Mary, yes each company may choose as many ideas as they like : )

Karen,
I meant to repley to your post earlier, but I couldn’t remember which ASOTV thread it was on. I’m not hiding from you, just from the ASOTV/Petsmart thread :). I bumped the ASOTV II thread that Carol had started a while ago back to the top so we could post there. I think it was getting too confusing with with Petsmart and ASOTV II being in the same thread. Come join us over on the thread titled ASOTV II. See you there!

Margaret,
I like your idea of posting one “official” thread for each LPS, outside of “general” LPS questions, which are covered in the general LPS thread… i.e. this search there are so many presentations it would be nice to stay updated in an ASOTV 2 LPS specific way. So… I second the motion!
