Submission idea

New here and maybe this has been discussed before, but I really wish there was some type of comments/notes box on the LPS submission page. Since the same invention can be marketed differently for each Live Product Search, it would be great to keep the original idea as is in your database and simply add notes to the individual LPS submission pages. For example, I wanted to submit an old idea to a new LPS, but since the new LPS was completely different than the first submission, I wrote a few paragraphs on how my invention benefited the new company. I felt that these new paragraphs would “drown out” the original marketing and so I actually paid to submit the same idea (vs. a free re-submit).

Does this make any sense? =)

In the meantime, how do you veterans format your ideas to include the factors that change from LPS to LPS? And maybe someone from EN can chime in as to what format they prefer?

I have done both, but usually I steer away from specifically mentioning a sponsor in a submission (i.e., no logos in the drawings, no mention in the description, etc). Perhaps you can mention in the body of the submission that there are attachments that pertain to each search. Upload a document that has the specific search in the title of the document. Then get in to specifics for that sponsor in that document. That way EN can just pick the appropriate attachment for each search. Hope that helps.

Also, a little off topic, but in case people aren’t aware there is a 500 word limit on the description. If you are going to go over that, Matt recommended to me that I refer to an attachment in the description and upload the additional info in the attached document.
