@ Betsy That would be a great conversation piece for the room! I think if I had huge success and had lots of space I would make my den like this. It would be motivation for me to continue to create! @ Margaret I like the salt and pepper too. I have an old lady (all black getting some grey) too. She is a standard (40-50lb). They are both good dogs. Very different. They are both yappy though. Very smart. Sometimes to smart.

Kyle, I have a little girl with a beard too. We have a salt and pepper parti (black and white spotted) mini schnauzer. One of the best dogs I’ve ever owned.

Thanks Kyle…I read that thread from top to bottom when I first joined as well. I teach a TV News class at a local University. When I tell my students about my career, they say—-Wow, you’ve had some great jobs.’ Then I say, ‘Those are just the jobs I got…but I also could wallpaper a whole room with rejection letters.’ Puts it all in perspective—-the more you go for it, the better your chances.

@ Betsy, this particular puppy would love that! She is always in my face. Never thought I would be kissed by a girl with a beard? Mini Schnauzer. You have to try new things in life huh? I read the forum link you provided from beginning to end. Completely halted my self pity party immediately. Great thread and a must read. I see how hard everyone here has worked on their concepts and npw see how many of them have had a very bumpy road getting to success. You know it will be tough, but always hope that your path could be easier. I can only describe getting the two R8’s like this:

In the game of basketball there are 3 seconds left in a championship game and you have the ball for the last shot that would win the game. Many defenders around you but you see a clear shot at the basket. Ball leaves your hands, perfect form, rotation and headed right for the hoop. Bounces on the hoop and rims out….Buzzer sounding now. I don’t know how many will get that comparison but best I could do. Betsy, you have made me look forward to the next game and season. Thank you for your kind words and support.

Hey guys thank you all so much for all of the support and encouragement! I just received my second R8 so I am out. Good luck to all still in the running! I feel fortunate to have my first two ideas get this far. Hopefully they will make it in another search or can be adjusted some how.

My little Logan man is still green! I’m hoping for the very best for him…I can only imagine what it must be like
to experience all of this at 11 years old. Seeing the pics on face book was a huge mind set, as it became
so real for him at that point.

Thanks Todd, I am very humbled at getting this far with two ideas in the same search. I am very happy about getting through the stages as I did. It confirmed that my ideas were considered as viable. This is always a doubt in an inventors mind, I believe. We must be on the right track even if not picked at this time.

Sorry to hear that Steve. I also received an R8 on one of my submissions today. Rough to see that big X but I am also grateful for getting so far on my initial submissions. Idea is still alive in one more search, but receive R4’s for same idea in most searches other than this one. Feedback states there are elements that have a slight chance to still be used? Not sure how to take that feedback. I was very fortunate to have had two ideas that were at G7 for this search so one is still out there. Fingers crossed for that one. those ideas that didn’t move to the “due diligence” table with VF will likely see updates on dashboard today. some may have started to see updates. Those no longer in consideration should all know that status change today.

Curious if anyone had an update on this one? Scott mentioned updated dashboards would take a few days. So maybe not, just curious! He mentioned a few requests for prototypes were coming…so far, it has been quiet for me.

To clarify, what I meant was I PASSED G7, awaiting results of G8. Didn’t mean to add confusion to the excitement.

@Steve, I’ve never heard of a dashboard turning G8, without a personal call from EN and contracts being signed. Good luck!

Great Job Steve G! That was fast! Thanks Steve B, it makes sense to wait. I am grateful that EN actually shares the info. EN is more tranparent than I thought it would be starting out. It was interesting to see how many were submitted for presentation. I didn’t think it was going to be that many based on the informal forum count.

Steve your check mark is green? Or do you mean you have a G7? I’m not doubing you could have been selected but i think you may be misunderstanding the dashboar as VF is just beginning their due dilgence on the presented ideas. This process usually takes a few weeks to a few months. Either way i wish you the best of luck!

Kyle – they do not reveal how many ideas were submitted in total prior to narrowing it down for presentations.
