Cost to manufacture a small appliance

Can anyone give me a rough estimate of the upfront costs to outsource manufacturing of a small appliance (i.e. coffee maker, toaster, etc.). I have absolutely no idea what the range would be and was hoping someone could give a ballpark guess.

Thanks

My youger brother Joey holds a patent and produces a health n fitness utensil, it costs 12 to produce and retails at 25. So find a comparible product at wall mart and assume it costs about half to manufacture.

i would recommend if you have detailed drawings go to http://www.mfg.com you can post the pictures and details and get quotes from manufacturers. the site is a little difficult to navigate but they have help you can use. if the bids arent what you expected or dont like you can retract your bid so you are under no obligation. they also have an nda you can require the bidders sign before your info is released to them.
