What would he have thought about these metal boxes and wires strung all over a desktop computer?….Well he saw the phonograph and (probably) thought…“these things are UGLY!”…and just as he did with integrating his phonograph into a nice piece of furniture he’d have done the same thing I did…integrated it!…so I did. I have a 1916 Edison Disc player which looks nice and matches my decor. I took a computer and reworked the CPU box and designed a cabinet around it so that when closed you don’t know it’s a computer at all.
You can see the results at my website or on my profile here. I posted a year ago here and since then constructed another unit in another style, the French Accent which I can paint to match any home’s decor.
Note: I really am a fan of Edison and his work, I am not looking to make sales here nor do I take investors or loans (so far…lol) but I am just asking for comments on the idea…I built my company on my day pay and hope the idea takes off someday.
I have drawings made and have applied for a copyright on the CPU box I designed, it is large enough (inside) to match the space in those ugly towers people have stuffed into cabinets…usually at their feet.
Thanks
Lou
