Angry birds is taking in a Million a month (See Below)…But now there is also an outcry about the ads and how annoying they are.I play angry birds myself and the ads are getting out of hand.
The ads are getting so bad people are using ad-blockers with android phones that are hacked.Just do a search on angry birds
and annoying ads.
My suggestion for any app is there should always be an option to opt out
of the ads by paying for the app itself. It’s not just banner ads it’s video commercials that just pop up randomly and often.
Question…What ya think the going rate for an Ad on Angry Birds is ?
Angry Birds just cut another huge deal today

This article 9 months old …
“Angry Birds has done great things on the Android platform by allowing users to download the game for free, but having the game “ad-supported”, as many other app developers have chosen to market. This revenue model has done so well that Angry Birds is reporting they have made as much money from ads on Android as they have with the game being $.99 in the Apple App Store, pulling in as much as 1 million a month, with almost 7 million downloads onto Android devices. This model has worked so well that Rovio has decided to try another method of advertising by loading ad-mob videos into the game, rather than the clickable banners displaying at the bottom of the screen.”
" Everyone knows Angry Birds is a runaway success, you need only check how often the name gets dropped around the blogosphere to see that. Aside from actual hardware and Android updates such as Gingerbread, it is arguable that Rovio and their Angry Birds franchise is the most talked about mobile software out there. With a total of 30 million players across all platforms, Android’s 5 million downloads might seem small, but when “Mighty Eagle” Peter Vesterbacka says those downloads of the ad-supported game will generate Rovio about $1 million per month by year’s end there is no question about the smaller userbase compared to iPhone’s 12 million paid downloads.
In the below video, Vesterbacka talks with the Google AdMob team about the success of Angry Birds. He notes the 80 percent retention rate (users who keep the app), and the collective play of over 65 million minutes per day from users across platforms. That’s huge. Angry Birds is huge, and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing up."
Another interesting read regarding AngryBirds and China…more $ and lots of them.
