I own and manufacture a product called Tub Armor. (www.tubarmor.com). Due to the housing market drop and trying to keep employees working I am in a frantic state of mind of thinking of other applications for my product. It occured to me that the great minds of the EN community may have some suggestions. This may also be a new Forum for other EN inventors to present their products for new market opportunities.
I sincerely thank you and special thanks from Shield Corporation.

On your site is states:
Into the Future…
We are aggressively pursuing other uses for the Tub Armor™ temporary protective coating!
We have tested Tub Armor™ on glass, ceramic, steel, iron, plastics, painted surfaces, ceramic tile, natural and synthetic stone. Tub Armor™ is easily removed from all these substrates, as well as from grouting compounds.
We have begun testing on polyurethane finished hardwood and laminate flooring materials and other flooring materials for durability and protection compared to plastic sheeting and other less functional products.
We will report on our findings in April 2005.
In addition, we’re now partnering with a US corporation to investigate the use of our products in large commercial, industrial, and military applications. This company has a huge presence in these markets and we will be able to offer our customers a chance to participate in these markets to grow their business as we develop them.
STAY TUNED……………….
It seems you began this expansion 6 or 7 years ago; what other applications has your company taken up?

Sell as bumper and grill shield from bugs. It would sell big time in Miami to cross alligator alley. If I read it correctly it is water soluble and will wash right off. It could be used in transporting vehicles to protect surfaces too.

I see it as a fun item in arts & crafts, home decor. Scrapbooking, making all their own designs, cutouts etc., and adhesive already there. Wall stencils, rather than masking off, just put it on the wall and cut out where you want to paint…paint, remove, and have a truly clean line……….the possibilities are endless on this one…..
edit….oops, I repeated some of you….sorry.

A great market would be factories, esp. food and beverage where they have to maintain surface cleanliness between shifts, etc. The goal would be to have large qty with frequent use. Other factory applications for sub-assembly protection, etc. might work.
Cabinetry and countertop protection for transport.
Appliance protection (store or distributor).
spray on pants covers
spray on bibs
spray on table cloth
movers – hardwood floor protector
shipping glass
Internal shipping/packing applications
External shipping – palette sealer
temporary high traffic ground protection
outside weed barrier
hazard containment
boat and other secondary transportation hauling protection
car protection when tying down on the roof
trunk, truck bed
Might have other ideas depend on the type of bio-degradeable it is, ability to have texture material to it, surface penetration, strength, flexibility, and stuff like that.

I like the aerosol idea. Wouldn’t it be great to spray around window edges. Cut off where the paint is to be applied with a razor. Then peel off the rest after painting. It would sure beat taping around everything.

Marc,
It appears that you have a really great product that hasn’t yet met it’s greatest market potential…the retail consumer.
Have you ever considered an aerosol can? Perhaps it would make a great ASOTV product. Here is another product that has
done just that; http://www.asontvinfomercials.com/flexseal.html
EN’s ASOTV 4 has just over a week to go.
This is a product that if made readily available to the public in a spray can, might just sell millions.
It could be used to protect new products for resale value or a motorcycle fairing before a long trip or on a window for temporary mood lighting and privacy. As a retail product, the possibilities are endless.
Perhaps various paint pigments could be added for color choices.
Good luck!

I have been in the construction business for over 30 years hanging wallpaper. The bathtub always seems to take a beating. I have personally seen this product on a bunch of the job sites and this stuff really works. If you are in the business, you should definitely take a look this product

Can u temporarily seal holes and gaps with it? This would come in handy with truck beds and drafts, weather, etc. Inside of shipping containers and truck trailers. I have to get back to work. Good luck!!!

As a drop cloth that conforms to any flooring, corners, molding. It would be awesome to paint and not worry about whether or not the drop cloth was gapping.
The hospital suggestion is great. I wonder if it could be used as a feature in a decontamination room.
Any construction site that deals with messy renovations could use this product.

Hey there
I’ve got some random ideas
I don’t know how the shield would react with sheetrock, but if you could paint it on or use it with stencils, you could make some cool designs on inside wallks. Looks like outside walls could take it as well. Could u spray it on outside furniture to protect it through the winter? Could it be used for sanitary purposes, like in a hospital setting ( floors, walls, equipment) and changed out often to prevent or minimize germs. How bout as splash guards for restaurants. Temporary floor mats.
