Lesson #7

EN member Joe Jackson was kind enough to send me this link which got me thinking about another lesson. How many times have you seen a website for a company you want to contact, but they just have what they do or it says “fill out this form”, etc and no contact info? What do you do next? Here is the lesson challenge. I will give you this website http://www.thegreattoysearch.com
Now, tell me the contact info for this site, the person running it, their phone number and any additional sites they may be connected too. Tell me how and where you found each piece of info. Your time limit is one hour after you first click on the link. Stick to the one hour limit and see how far you get. Post the time it took and your info.
Ron, Gizmo, Mark, you are all exempt from this lesson until at least 5 others have posted, just to make it fair. Joe, you already know the info so you are exempt also.
Good luck.

This was too easy – simply search around on the website for tell tale info first. … there are other outside sources but no need to go there for this one. You will be surprise where names, etc. start to appear. I found several. Then there is the CONTACT US tab – voila! There’s the contact info:

OK, you can make that check out to … just kiddin!

Linda, Where on the website did you find tlink that took you to the other website so you could find the address, phone number using the link above? They only have NDA, Home, Submit, FAQ, Client login. Post the page link where you found the above info on the site.

Ok, Sheria Sherlock is on the case – On the home page, I click on the FAQ tab.
Under the question, Who we are – We are the Executive Search Group and our expertise is recruiting top-level, etc.
Executive Search Group has a link connected to it, which once click will take you to the Toy Industry Job page.
At the top to the far right is a Contact tab – click that and towards the middle to bottom of page is all the info. I also check on the newsletter tab – looking for the name Of David showing up appearing to be the ‘go to’ person which is the same name in the contact info.

I’m rethinking’ the check request!! :)

LInda, very good, but no cigar just yet. You are missing a couple of the pieces. What are the other sites they are affliated with? How long have you spent searching so far. Remember the one hour time limit.

Morning,

It took just about a minute in all cases including this time. I’m very good at unearthing information so typically I know where to look whether on the existing site or other trusting sites.

The only other affiliations are:
The Executive Search Group
The National Association of Personnel Services
www.cuteorcool.com
ToyRecruiter.com

Not bad, but can anyone think of another method to find some of this information? There is still more info you can get.
