Rubbermaid Company Idea Submit?

Hi everybody I need some help.

I have a product that I would like to submit to Rubbermaid company but I cant seem to find there inventors page.
http://www.newellrubbermaid.com/public/index.aspx
Anyone have experience in working/contacting them?

Also I believe I read on another website that they only accept products with patents or patent pending.
Do you think companies like this would be flexible on this matter if its a REALLY good idea?
Has anyone ever got past the requirement of needing a patent/patent pending for invention submission?

Any help/advice would be great.
Thanks.

Krissie, I will be sure to checkout Rogers other links for licensing. This would be my first time contacting a company so it will be a learning experience as well.

Thanks for the words of encouragement :)

Hey Jay, I love the attitude that it won’t hurt to try. What is the worst that can happen…That they say no, but you also have a 50/50 chance that they might say yes. Nothing ventured nothing gained, cliche’ but true. Also if you haven’t done so already make sure you check out some of Rogers other links on the best ways to approach companies for licensing deals. There is a lot of great advice from him that will help you look like a professional in your submission. Don’t know if you are experienced or if it’s your first time, but his tips are great for both!

Jay, they were very open to me and looked at my submissions using their NDA. They held a couple of my submissions for review, but they decided to pass on them. I am not sure why they have gone to this new policy.

Thank You very much for the help and time Roger. I understand its been 2 years since you submitted to them but what was your experience with them? Did you have patent/patent pending for your idea when you submitted to them?

Also I just read from the link you posted that they only take idea submissions from business entities and not individual entities. Was this a problem in your case?
