Hello everyone,

I wanted to make my EN product submissions, and also my personal licensing attempts, more professional by adding statistics about the market for my product. For example, if I had an electronics accessory and wanted to find out sales figures for cellular phones sold in recent years.

Does anyone know of any website that would offer this information in an easy to use, and more importantly, easy to interpret layout? I know the U.S Census website has some of these statistics but it is not the easiest website to navigate and use and they seem to have very limited statistics.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Frank

On another note, my condolences to the Mays family. He seemed like a great, down to earth guy who really liked to help inventors. He will be missed.

Google is actually a good resource to find market data, if you are willing to learn the advanced search operators and such and figure out how to use them to your advantage.

Factiva is an easy to use site to find certain market/survey data and other stuff. It is not cheap to use on a regular basis. Sometimes they offer free trials.

Biznat – www.biznat.com – appears to be a respectable resource considering it is free. I have only used it briefly to test it out.

http://tr.im/quickstatistics Will take you to a Google Custom Search Engine put together by Criterion Dynamics. The search engine does not work perfectly but does work and does make it a lot easier to search the Census Bureau’s data. http://tr.im/surveys may also be helpful.
