Happy New Year!

I am looking for contacts that can provide information about businesses that manufacturing ladders.

I have an invention related to ladders but want to ask some questions to understand the industry better before approaching manufacturers about licensing.

A contact at a manufacturer would be ideal, but I’d be interested in hearing from anyone in any part of the industry including distribution, sales, etc.

Please respond here or (maybe better) ‘friend me’ and we can communicate by email.

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Hi Chappy! Thanks for the info.

All – I should clarify I am looking for inside information on how the industry operates; i.e. is it hidebound or open to innovation, which manufacturers are the innovators, what values are important (cost sensitivity or distinguishing features?) etc. etc.

In short, I want to make sure I start off approaching the right manufacturers, and more importantly that I ‘press the right buttons’ when doing so.

Thanks,

Bob

Keeping our household goods safely away in our attic would not be possible without a ladder. Whether it’s a painting job that needs to be done, or a roof that needs to be reworked on, ladders provide us with easy access to different areas around our home or workplace. Several ladder manufacturers produce high quality ladders in order to make areas more accessible to us. Keller Ladders was bought by Werner Ladders in 1999, which has been producing step ladders and extension ladders for over 75 years. Amongst its popular ladders for home use, repairs, and light construction is the Model 93 series aluminum stepladders. The step ladder features a multi-purpose top with tool and paint can holders. It has slip resistant steps and foot pad, while the bottom and top steps are braced. Overall, this is the perfect stepladder for home use.

Cosco is another leader in the ladder industry with a number of innovative designs that are well tested prior to being manufactured. The company has the distinction of being ‘recall-free’.
